"Someday," she agrees wistfully.

"Probably not in any of our lifetimes, yeah. But...someday. We just have to do what we can in the meantime."

"Yeah."  Little smile.

 - his phone buzzes, for the third time this mixer.  "Somebody's blowing up my phone, do you mind if I take a minute to catch up on my texts?"

"Sure, no problem.' She is not backlashed so it is actually not a problem at all.

" - oh, Toby wants me to consult on a project they started," he says.  "Him and Jamie.  They're gonna put together a confluence crash course for some of the new espers at the mixer, I guess.  Kimberly, do you wanna come along or stay and chat with Kuroko?  Kuroko...?"  He looks between them: who's up for what?

"I'm down to keep chatting with Kimberly if she is."

"Oh that sounds like a great idea! I'm not sure I'd have much to contribute, though." She smiles at Meghan. "We can stay and chat."

"All right, have fun.  Uh - "

He retrieves a business card from his pocket, identifying himself as Bryce Lynwood | Shadowcat and his agent as Benedikt Chun, Paradigm Esper Network.

"Keep in touch?  If it ever makes sense to double up on stealth espers, or just to chat."

"Sure."

She has cards with her agent's contact information and her 'official' twitter on them (literally called kuroko-official). She scrawls her phone number on the back.

He smiles, and waves, and says "nice meeting you," and departs.

She waves back.

"So, what do you like to do when you aren't doing dungeon support?"

One might think she has a fair amount of practice starting conversations.

"Last week I went to an arcade with my best friend and we played a game where you're on a team of teddy bears dressed as bees trying to get all the fruit into your hive before the other teddy bees. It was wild. I was pretty bad at it but I had a great time."

"That sounds very cute. I used to play a lot of rhythm games before I awakened but now most of them are kinda too easy, which is a little sad."

"Maybe you should try the teddy bees game. It might be deranged enough to still be a challenge."

"Maybe! You play deranged arcade games often? Or less deranged arcade games?"

"Not that often, but I bet we're going to keep going back to this one. For the teddy bees."

"Well maybe I could come with sometime. Uh if you and your friend are okay with that. I wouldn't want to impose if this is between you two."

"No, absolutely, please do!"

"Cool. Do you like music?I also play the piano. I was considering getting a degree in music before the cosmic lottery derailed things. Not that i really mind, but it sure did come out of nowhere."

"The cosmic lottery'll do that. Music is nice! What do you like about the piano?"

"Well, it was the one I started when I was little, but also it's one of the most versatile instruments. You can do classical, jazz, rock, pretty much anything uses the piano."

"Neat! What are your favourite genres to play?"

"Depends on my mood really. Sometimes it's really cathartic to play really sad blues songs when I'm sad, you know?"

"Awww! Yeah, that makes sense."
