"Great!"
She spends several minutes screwing try to get things set up and verifying that they worked, and the game is displaying two main menus screen on the left and right sides, she then skips over to the world generation screen (it only shows up on the right side of the screen, the left stays on the menu screen.)
She then offers the mouse to Eva and asks.
"Do any of these worlds jump out as especially appealing to you? It normally brings you to the character building screen first, but it's easy to make slight adjustments to your character to pair fine with the world, then it is to make slight changes to the world to make it pair with your character."
1. basically pre-historic Earth.
2. The ruins of a planet that was quite similar to modern day Earth, but the aliens who ruled wiped themselves out a long time ago.
3. volcano world.
4. A not quite tidally locked planet, one side is a giant jungle where the leaves of the tallest energy hungry flora shield you from the worst of the sun rays, and the other side is a frigid desert full of fossils from when it was at a life bearing angle.
5. A planet strip mined by aliens who abandoned it after they got whatever they were searching for. Their operation had wiped all life on the planet and left most of the world's generically useful resources locked up in their complex machines, which are ripe for disassembly and looting if you can manage it.
6. a moon which is the fossil of a titanic creature that was once space capable.
7. A planet completely taken over by a super infectious and subsumptive alien fungus, luckily it never learned the trick for swapping the chirality of biochemicals, so it's unable to touch you.
8. Rocky cave world with a super radioactive surface and a rich subterranean ecosystem.
9. a watery moon which lost its orbit and now never sees the light of the sun, the surface layers are completely frozen but protect the lower layers from losing any more heat to the atmosphere, and allowing the oceanic ecosystem to thrive.
10. A gas planet where almost every lifeform either has some kind of flotation method, or is living on something that does, or is living on the one of the rare titan trees that stretch from the surface all the way to the upper atmosphere. You've landed at the perfect height for heat and gravity that's tolerable unprotected, and as long as you stick to the branches of the tree, you don't have to worry about the toxic atmosphere of the rest of the planet either.
