every time I hear about a "psychological" backlash it always sounds like the most weak-ass shit ever. you've got espers out here with real backlashes like "can't move" "literally goes blind" "hemophilia" and then people with so-called psychological backlash come in like "I get really sad :(" "I have social anxiety" and expect us to act like this is remotely on the same level?? you know who else has social anxiety? my sister. but unlike certain espers I could name, my sister doesn't try to act like this is comparable to literally bleeding to death. grow the fuck up and stop complaining.
hey dipshit when was the last time you opened wikipedia. i'll help you out since you may have forgotten.
you type in: en dot wikipedia dot org slash wiki slash Backlash underscore left parenthesis espers right parenthesis
hit enter
read the page
and you learn that it doesn't fucking matter "what their backlash is" because it all turns into "your body stops working". now go work on getting some guiding (informational) before your brain stops working.
If you would be so kind, permit me to make a counterargument:
Imagine, if you would, a young lady or gentleman or variation thereupon who spends a week with sudden, acute mental illness and zero previously-derived strategies for coping with the aforementioned mental illness. Then, if I might be so bold, give that young person the ability to spew lava at whatsoever target provokes their ire.
And, of course, the more that young person spews lava from any pore, the worse their mental illness gets, with concomitant effects on their stability and ability to refrain from seeing lava as a solution to any problems they might have.
While hemophilia would indeed be a problem for our hypothetical lava-spewer, a psychological backlash makes things worse off for bystanders.
To summarize my previous positions, Christ on the bleeding cross, dipshit, don't make it harder for these people or the odds go up that these people will make it harder for YOU
friendly reminder that people with psych issues, backlash or otherwise, are overwhelmingly more likely to hurt themselves than other people
(Also that mental health is not a joke)
#can we talk about how weird a phrase "the milk of human kindness" is
Don't hide this in the tags. I am trying to remember where I saw someone talking about using breastmilk for guiding to inflict that on others.

I dearly hope your sister is getting the emotional support she needs from others, not-you, sources, because if your post is anything to go by she is more likely to experience awakening than get any help from you.

wow thanks that's so reassuring, when I think about whether someone spewing lava is going to hurt me it really helps to know that they're even more likely to hurt themself, that's definitely the comparison I care about, I definitely don't care about things like, you know, "are they more likely to hurt me than some random person on the street is"
