"Yes. And more beautiful every year. I would do anything to protect her. So would Anders."

"Anything," Anders agrees.

Theo sighs.

"Okay. Lora, tell me what you think should happen next. Do you want to see if we can get Anders to follow you?"

Lora searches about the room, trying to catch some sign of Anders. "Do you think you can, baby?"

"I don't know. I've never tried. It's like...it's like the house is trying to tell me something, but I'm not tuned into the right frequency."

Anders casts a gaze upstairs. "Sometimes I can appear in the boys' rooms, but...but only when I think about Lora. And Lorie."
