"The Salvatores came to America in the early 1800s and eventually settled here in Beacon Hills. We were one of the original settlers. Every generation of Salvatores since have been born right here in town."

They arrive at Juliet's room where she is busy pushing out a clothes wrack to the middle of the room.

"Stefan, she didn't ask for a complete family history."

"I actually did ask for a partial one. Thank you, Stefan. We'll be doing girl stuff now. See you in a bit."

"I have been dismissed. Have fun."

"Make sure Damon is out of the house before we leave, please!"

"I have it covered."

He leaves.

"So. That was Damon Salvatore."

"Does his name proceed him?"

"No, but I just met him, and he left an impression. I'm savoring the name."

"He tends to do that. Good impression this time, I'm hoping."

"He's charming. I wish Jackson were half as charming. So, show me what you have to work with."

"I find Jackson very charming, but Damon does have a surplus of it. I'm glad he's using it for good rather than evil." She laughs and then gestures to her selection of clothes.

They're all very expensive and high quality, some of them appear to be vintage as well. Though everything is very eclectic, nothing really goes together.

They're going bowling, so it should look good on her but not too nice.

Lydia finds a few combinations for Juliet to try.

"Is he out of town a lot?"

"There's some bad blood between my dad and him. Damon has an apartment in town because of it. But he hasn't really lived here since he was a kid, just tends to drop into town to see me. Usually I'm whisked away and we go on an adventure."

"That must be nice. He seems like he knows how to have a good time."

She hands Juliet her choice of two outfits, one more revealing, and one more accentuating.

She tries the second outfit first.

"He's lived a exciting life, so he knows how to have fun. Also how to scare the daylights out of Matt. That wasn't very fun."

"Oh? What did he do?"

"He likes to be casually threatening, especially around new people. Tries to get a gage of how they work and potential future interactions. Also I've never had a boyfriend before, so he had to be the cliché Scary Older Relative at him. I didn't much appreciate it."

"I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe he needs someone to distract him."

"And you're volunteering?"

"Maybe. Is he single?"

"He's single. I'm pretty sure he's still hung up on his ex. Knowing him though, that probably won't stop him."

"Put in a good word for me?"

She appraises Juliet's outfit.

"This one looks good. You can try the other one if you want, but I think you were right to pick this. It's more tasteful."

She smiles at her and smooths down the dress.

"I can do that. Should I also attach myself more to Jackson in response, or will he be fine?"

"He'll be fine. Besides, you have Matt to worry about. Shall we?"
