He shrugs.

"There are plenty of other universes."

"You really think that when the Great Time War resumes it will restrict itself to just the one universe?"

"Resumes? Gallifrey. Is. Gone."

"The Doctor froze it in time, sent it out of the universe and to another dimension."

"Which dimension?"

"A pocket dimension. We know it's somehow connected to a human colony planet called Trenzalore in the Emphidian Reach."

"Can you find it?"

He isn't talking to Titus.

He shakes is head.

"If no one can get to them, they're as good as dead."

"Have you heard of the Siege of Trenzalore? A lot of people are trying to get to them- to the Doctor. Kill him and they never return."

His head starts to throb and he closes his eyes, trying to focus on something else. He grits his teeth.

"He's not an easy man to kill."

"Just gotta keep on trying then."

He does not look particularly enthused about this.

"Why? There are so many more interesting things to do."

"It's hard to focus on anything else. Mother doesn't like it when I resist."

"Adoptive mother. She raised me." He pauses. "Do you have any tequila?"

"Yes. Lot's of tequila."

The Master opens the door in the side of the main chamber and heads into the hall on the other side.

He goes to follow but then pauses.

"You're okay with me being here?"

Titus doesn't really know the protocols when interacting with a TARDIS, but it never hurt him to be polite.

...well. Most times.

A bottle of tequila and a glass appear next to him, on the console.

...

"Thank you."

He takes the bottle, heads for the TARDIS door and opens it slightly, taking a peak outside.

Outside, there is only darkness.

Not really was he was hoping. Though the Master did say it was empty.

He sits down anyway and leans against the doorframe and sighs.

"Silence is it then," he mumbles and takes a long drink of the tequila.

The TARDIS moves.

And he is staring at the surface of a blue gas giant.

A storm is raging, a swirl of dark red against the blue. It has been raging for a long time.

As he watches it moves, slowly by any human estimate, but just fast enough to be appreciated.

It twists and it reaches, the edges of the storm extending, slowly overwriting more of the blue with bright tendrils of red.

He smiles wide.

"You really know how to show a guy a good time. I like you."

He takes another drink and just watches the storm. The pounding of his head is pushed to the side, he can ignore it- for now- and some of the tension leaves his body.
