Temple writes down this result. He should probably pay attention to class... but his mind wanders away into thoughts of magic and what he can do, when he does pay attention to something it gives him an idea for a new spell.

Some of his friends wonder if he got a new girlfriend and if that is why he smiling so much. He just laughs.

He finds a quiet restroom and casts the spell again using "Zephyrus".

Works, and is stronger than when he used the Moon.

Yay! And Temple writes this result down and starts thinking on how he can use this indication to all kind of spells.

It takes sometime to consider the theological implications of all of this. He was considering tests that call the name of Jesus and Buddha...

...Heh, he will figure it out after class.

Which takes forever to end, and he doesn't find any other opportunities to cast a spell until he is finally back at home.

So... what happens if he calls upon the power of Jesus instead of Zephyrus?

Same as Sun.

Well, coming back to the scrolls he already wrote. How about calling the power of "Boreas" and  "Atmosphere"?

Boreas works as well as Zephyrus, Atmosphere works a little bit better than Sun but not much.

Okay... the greek myths worked, but not Jesus? Maybe that is a limitation because they are wind gods? But then, what does this mean? Are any of them real?

Also, Temple kinda wants to do more than wind tests now, he was going to check on the power of various planets and wind deities but that would take forever.

He hasn't done anything with fire, he should be able to set it up safely but there is no reason to believe he can't do it, or at least if he can't it will be because he can't do fire at all (maybe there is some elemental affinity in place).

Ooh, he will try flight! The most obvious super-power. He clears his room of fragile objects (there weren't that many) and puts the mattress on the floor for safety.

"Wind, come forth with your weightlessness! Earth, come forth with your safety! Fire, come forth with your speed! Water, come forth with your strength! As my will commands it! Grant me the power to fly!"

He's flying! Whee! He has quite a lot of control over his movements, too.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Temple takes a deep breath.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

(this might go on for quite awhile, even after the spell fades.)

The spell takes about eight minutes to fade, but fade it does!

And then Temple does a celebratory dance.

It goes on for quite a while.

He is still dancing when he sketches the next spell: Invisibility!

"Sun, you are the master of light! Moon, you are the mistress of illusions! Wind, you are powerful yet unseen! I call upon you all of you to grant me the gift of invisibility!"

He becomes invisible!

For about ten seconds.

That is short, but it was mostly so he could see if he could do it at all...

What if Temple tries the invisibility again, but instead uses only calling the sun and wind? and then only moon and wind?

Sun and wind lasts three seconds, moon and wind lasts a bit more than five seconds.

Temple guesses it might just be more complicated, and that he needs to work in the other elements too.

Well... What he tries combining the two spells and saying them both in order like a unified whole?

That depends very much on how he phrases it.

He literally says both spells one after the other:

"Wind, come forth with your weightlessness! Earth, come forth with your safety! Fire, come forth with your speed! Water, come forth with your strength! As my will commands it! Grant me the power to fly! Sun, you are the master of light! Moon, you are the mistress of illusions! Wind, you are powerful yet unseen! I call upon you all of you to grant me the gift of invisibility!"

He is trying to figure out how that would interact, specially with spell-duration.

Flight lasts about eight minutes, invisibility about ten seconds.

Well, on one hand he can't exploit multiple spell effects, at least not easily.

On the other hand: Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! He is flying again, this time he makes a circuit of the house.

Okay, new spell:

He gets inside the closet for darkness. "Light, I call upon you to shine and glow! Come to me to illuminate even in the darkness!"

And there is light! Sourceless light illuminating the closet.

Sourceless? Does he cast a shadow anywhere?

Nnnope. No shadows.

Weird. He opens the closet. Does the effect stay inside or is it following him?
