There are many people that a gang could set upon on a night, and even get away the victors. But even with the advantage of numbers, attacking the four tipsy people who'd been weaving down the street has turned out to be very much the wrong decision. Because the four tipsy people are in fact military trained. That they're tipsy barely impedes their reactions. It doesn't take them long to have it over with, breathing a little rushed, faces flushed with adrenaline and grins.
Angelique laughs. "You flatter me!" And sets about playing hostess and pouring the triplets cups and plating up cake for them. "What did you wish to discuss with me? You seem very excited!"
Angelique bursts into delighted laughter. "I knew if anyone could manage it it would be you three!"
"Pretty great implications," Theresa says. "So of course we came to our favorite well-connected magical person to share the great news."
"We can't have good boys eating evil vegetables. In that case, do you want to give it a try?" Felcia turns to Aaren. "We have two, you can take turns."
"We do have one of the best healers around here," Angelique says as she gets to her feet again. "If it's injury you're worried about."
Angelique starts to usher them out of the library, and out through the back of the house to the herb garden behind the kitchen. The view from the back gives an idea that Angelique's property is massive.
Hopefully, neither Percy nor Lan are too distracted to be instructed on how to use the flying artifacts.
