This far from any land, the sea is calm, with just a gentle roll as the water moves. As far as the eye can see, there is glistening blue, uninterrupted by any sign of a shore.
High above, the sun beats down from a cloudless sky.
It is peaceful.

"I know you're joking, because if you're not I genuinely pity Rii," Anders says, teasing right back.
He starts organising firstly by putting things in the same category together.
"Rii's better at the organisation thing than I am," Tana admits. "We balance each other out."
"The best partnerships always are. Karl-" Head down, move things around, block out that thought. "Hawke and Merrill are like that. Hawke is brash and implusive and Merrill...well, she's sweet. Odd, but sweet."
"I guess it's about finding someone to balance out your neuroses. Hard task. But worth it."
"Yeah. We're a bundle of neuroses. You know we're nicknamed 'Circe's Insane Asylum'?"
Surprised laugh! "Well, I guess you did need a doctor, though perhaps I'm not the right kind!"
"Right back at you," Tana says - and, as she had suggested, she gets distracted disassembling a device.
While she does that, Anders organises the rest of the shelves. He gets started on some unfamiliar devices, trying to keep certain piles together while making everything neater.
Tana reemerges from her distraction, apologises profusely, and goes back to trying to help.
“No, don’t be sorry. It’s rather calming. I just hope everything’s order makes sense to you?”
"You're welcome here any time you need one. I know what it's like to get stuck in your own head."
Tana reaches over and squeezes his shoulder. "We know that more than most. There's a lot of shit out there."
"I'm impressed she's already told you any of that. She doesn't speak much about that."
"Well. I'm glad it helped in whatever way it did. And perhaps, some, it helped her in turn."
"Pretty sure there's literally a word for that, but I can't remember what it is."
