She puts her book away and takes the rocks out of her purse. There's a variety of options: a really pale white one that almost glows in the sunlight and sparkles only faintly as its rough surface catches the light, a smooth polished tiger's eye, and a trio of dark granitey-looking lumps with slightly different colour variations, one more blue, one more grey, one more red. "I think taking pretty pictures of the white one might be a challenge," she admits.
