Haru can replace the audio with some light music or something in post. Once they've got all the footage he has more questions about how the power works and how much of it was intuited versus discovered in testing.

He had to do a bunch of tests about it, yeah, especially the exotic time-stopping bit. There's a bunch of subtleties, like he can time stop a container and not stop its contents, which makes it have zero heat conductivity, but can't stop contents without also including the container, unless he's directly touching them with a fingertip or something. He can preserve momentum of stopped things if he 'catches' them right. He can time-stop people but it seems to go by mass and people aren't small.

Does it go by mass linearly or with some other relationship?

"Requires more testing to firmly characterize but it seems to be an integral of mass times a constant plus distance squared times a much smaller constant- No volume penalty, for some reason-" And he can produce numbers for all of these, tested by freezing and moving around dumbbells on long strings.

Backlash is getting a little iffy. He raises an arm in Wendy's direction; She takes his hand, gently.

"No thank you, I'd feel awkward about it and it's not urgent enough to overcome that minor cost."

Haru nods and gets underway on video editing.

"I don't mean it as an insult or rebuff or anything, you know. I am who I am and perhaps it ought to change but who I am here and now generally prefers less touching over more."

Cricket wants ATTENTION and is going to get it by draping himself over Haru's shoulder and having video editing opinions, like that it is good that Haru is editing Nick's face out of the shot because his expression looks constipated.

"Cricket's like that to most people, it's not personal," she whispers to Nick.

"Yeah, sorry about him." Scritches for the kitty.

Once Nick is gone, Wendy... Hesitates, but asks, "Is it weird that I'm kind of... Sad, a bit annoyed even, that he won't go into dungeons? I mean, on the one hand I get the caution and like, entirely valid, don't change just because I said so. But on the other hand, emotions are being a little ugly here. It's not really something I've... Felt before. I dunno."

"He might change his mind. You weren't sure you'd be doing many dungeons, at first. I don't think it's weird to be annoyed, it impinges on your effectiveness and guiding some."

"So yeah, I'm a little annoyed, unendorsed. Nick would... Not take being annoyed about his preferences super well? We already had a little fight about it. Well, sort of. I guess... I'm having more relationship-flavored nervousness now, which is maybe not the right way to think about it, but uh, traditional guiding activities knock the brain towards that framework."

"They do that. Unfortunately I don't think I'm a particularly sage relationship advice dispenser..."
