"Yeah of course."  Oh, he totally could have asked his mom to bring him correct shampoo.  Whatever, he'll be able to go places unsupervised tomorrow.  Which will come faster the sooner he gets to bed.  And that'll go quicker than it would if he wasn't skipping shampoo again.  Shower done.  .....And he should really check his texts - yes - "My mom's home safely."  Purple heart react.

Haru finishes rinsing out his hair and turns off the water. "That's good!"

"It's really really very not bad."  Dry dry dry.

"See you in the guest room," Haru says, once he's toweled off.

And pajamas and guest room.  Without anything else abnormal happening!  Even if it seems like it's somehow going to!

And snuggles. "To which carbon monoxide detectors shall we bid goodnight?"

Snugglllllllles.  "...I think I fell asleep after few enough gun safety facts that there are still probably plenty of those to cover?"

"Possibly, though I don't remember in exactly what order I presented them, will it be okay if some are repeats?"

"That seems fine, yeah.  No long-term learning without spaced repetition."

Gun safety facts time.

And sleep, eventually.

He wakes up at 7:45 and feels - wow, already so much better.  Still startleable by car horns outside but way less inclined to dwell on why they're honking and how it might be because of him personally.  Snuggllle~.

"Harbinger. Cheese."

He is going to liiiiiiie here and bask in feeling less and less bad, and try to fall back asleep, and also still very much worry about various things that are going to happen today.  Such as - Haru said he didn't want to never see him again, but also what if things are interpersonally terrible somehow anyway?  And also what if his powers suck and are impossible to morally use?  What if everything really actually is a simulation and he really is being - he's going to think about that in like, a couple hours.  And not right now.  What if.... what if Bug never comes back??  Sure, what if that, that would suck probably.

But importantly he just really feels so much better, moment by moment, and has been sleeping really poorly, and none of this is able to keep him up for very long.

When he wakes up again Haru's out of bed and out of the room.

Julien feels...... fine about this????  Actually completely fine about this???  Holy shit.

He is going to continue to lie here for a bunch of minutes.  He can just do that and it's not terrifying and it's not going to have any horrible consequences.

If you're up in time to want breakfast there's donuts on the counter. I'm at June's, her brother begged me, but might be back before you're awake depending on how much sleep you need to catch up on now you're done.

Yayyy donuts.  He will go get some of those in like twenty minutes, probably, unless he instead spends a bunch of time on his phone in bed.  He should really, really text his housemates back; he does that.  He scrolls Tumblr.  He starts drafting a text to his mom but then he's so okay that he gets sleepy again and half dozes off.

Home again. I have no idea if you're still sleeping off accumulated awakening sleep debt or if you've skipped off into the yonder, if it's the second thing lmk

When that buzzes on his phone he - hmmmmmmm - takes another two minutes in bed and then stretches out and pads into the common area.

"Hi sleepyhead." Haru's making KD. "Are you going to want to do powers testing soon or do you want a break, I needed a break."

"Hi!  Hi.  I am going to want a break for sure.  A break which also includes -"

....The thing is that the world is not a hostile simulation made to torture him, so if he does his thinking and comes to the conclusion that it is, he's wrong and would want mental health support about that.  But if it's not a simulation, then with him being done with awakening, there's nothing left that could be secretly clouding his reasoning, and he should trust any conclusion that he comes to.  Which means that he's totally going to come to the conclusion that the world is real, but - on the off chance, the very very tiny chance that not only is the world not real but that it's not real in a way that has to do with him, and changed recently - he should not tell anyone, even Haru, about this in advance.
