It's very close, and there's a sign pointing the way right in the big square; out one side, and then a turn around the building just out the side street to an entrance in the first cross street. Tesera only has to switch her bubble once.

Tesera gestures to her ears as she enters, and the shopkeeper gestures and makes a reddish pair of earplugs fly toward her and Simone.

Most of what's here is clearly oriented toward new witches; earplugs and noseplugs, dark glasses, clothing silk and/or weighted, prosthetic arms, enchanted floating chairs, and a whole rack of crystal balls, tarot decks, wands and staves. There are also HexVPN subscriptions, portal network maps that look more like colorful directed graphs than topography, cauldrons, rune engravers, and a variety of basic potions. Prices are listed in both ₭  and $, though the dollar prices look fairly extortionate. As do the 'payment plans' in kisses.

"I'll cover your basics, don't worry."

Simone grabs the earplugs mid-flight and puts them on hurriedly.

"Oooooh, much better."

"Thank you, I owe you... a lot actually. You quite literally changed my life."

"Oooooh, maps!" She will dive into the stack of maps and will probably need extraction if they want to be done with shopping by the day's end.

"Soon you'll be making those out of date, with your potential. We should go on a tour, before long; besides the fun, I could use a few secret passages."

"Ooooh, it's a date! Like, metaphorically..." unless...

She tries feeling her magic, and the first thing she notices is... something missing. Or rather, someone missing.

"Find Familiar."

"We'll see, won't we? I should call mine - Tiliinu, where are you?"

A little ghost of black and purple vapor seeps out of a shadow and floats up to her shoulder.

"Here as always, my lady. Congratulations, young witch."

A crow glides into the shop, effortlessly stopping her motion to perch on Simone's shoulder.

"Ooooh, spooky ghost! Scawy!"

She cocks her head and looks at her witch.

"Name's Sari, happy to meet you."

Cuuuuute! And sassy! She loves her already.

"I'm happy to meet you too! I've been told you should be able to take human form now that you're my familiar."

"Oh, I know, it would be quite simple. But why would I? Crows are much prettier than you featherless monkeys. And if I'm perched on you I don't even need to spend effort moving."

"Yeah, sure, hands are pretty useful, a beak can only go so far. But still, wings!"

"Congratulations to you as well, cousin crow," Tiliinu says, shifting his form to a ghostly crow to match, "I am told having a human's intelligence is a great improvement for most familiar spirits."

"Tiliinu is unusual, he came from an elemental plane and a separate tradition," Tesera says, "And likes to humblebrag about it. Which is rude," she says pointedly, "Pleasure to meet you, Sari."

"I mean, at least he knows how to change into the best form - a crow, that is - so he can't be too bad. Likewise a pleasure! May I have your name? As in, may I know your name, I'm not a fey - not going to steal it."

"Unless it's very shiny."

"Most people call me Tesera. Well, or 'Mistress' but that's hardly a name."

The word 'Mistress' makes her mind wander... and wonder.

"A pleasure to meet you, misstresera!

Yes, yes, Tesera's cunning plan is succeeding. Teasing the new girl is fun.

"There's no need to butcher English on your first acquaintance with it, Sari. Not that English has much right to complain, I suppose. Anything else you want to look for, Simone?"

Unfair, that was such a clever pun! She considers switching to a human form just so she can pout.

"Probably some standard items? Is that a thing? You know, like you'd get Standard Adventurer Gear in Pathfinder - do you know Pathfinder? It's a role playing game. I guess it would feel a bit silly to play when you have actual magic..."

"I remember you saying something about a witch hat and wand?"
