"You would die."

"Are we likely to run into him? How would we recognize him?"

"Nah, he's off in some hell dimension, we just happen to know where a passage to him is. He's a big snake thing with a nigh indestructible skeleton."

Nod. 

"You guys have any more questions, or should I let Dennis go back to getting a comprehensive spell list?"

"He should probably get back to that, we don't have that much translation left."

"Cool. Anyone want pizza?"

"I want pizza! - have they not experienced pizza yet."

"They have not."

"I'll order some pizza."

"Cool."

Dennis is flipping through the notebooks again.

"Can you guys raise the dead?"

"Not yet."

"But you could, if you got stronger?"

"Yes. Or buy a resurrection, if we were at home and richer."

"What's the difference?"

"I can only do it myself once I can cast fifth-level spells, and even then I can only raise people who died recently. If I wanted to resurrect someone who has been dead longer, I'd need seventh level spells, which very few people have. But at home I could purchase their services."

"Makes sense."

"The pharaoh's guard in Osirion is made of resurrected soldiers."

"Huh. How many people?"

"They don't advertise their numbers but hundreds, maybe a thousand."

"Huh."

"Not in the game?"

"Osirion's not in the game. I don't have the raise dead rules memorized, none of my characters have reached high enough level for a rez to make sense."

Nod. And they can go through the rest of Mahdi's spells too, at least until Tongues cuts out.
