...Destiny has a weird sense of timing. Kani arrives at the Mural a little after 3 am, and nothing seems to be happening. She sits down to meditate, and promptly falls back asleep.

"Kani???" 

...Wuh?

"Mags?" she replies incredulously, as she blinks awake. "Did She call you here too?"

Keith follows Magini around the corner to see what she's found. 

...why the fuck are the blue girls multiplying???

More people? Oh, wait, that's...

"...Red Rider?" She looks between the two of them. "You two know each other?"

"Yeah, from the Acadamy," ??? what is going on here, "but how do you two know each other?" 

She looks between them in confusion.

"Huh? I've never seen this girl before. Wait—" Red Rider? "Did you leave that note on my bike?" 

Kani nods. "I was avoiding you - I've been coming here in the evenings, since you don't usually stay after dark."

She yawns, sitting up. "But you've been Called here too, haven't you? By the Blue Lioness." 

The way she says it sounds reverent, in a way that Magini finds unsettling.

Ami makes her way into the chamber, recognizes Kani from the pictures Magini had shown her, and steps to the side both to let Shiro in and so she can keep a better eye on Magini's face.

"...yeah, I guess."

Why is he doing the talking here, Shiro help—

"You said the Blue Lioness has been calling you here? What do you know about it—or her, I suppose—" 

Kani shifts around, looking up at the Mural. "I know She cares about me. She keeps me safe. And - today, something came from the sky, something She was waiting for..."

Huh, wait. "... have none of you been getting the Dreams?" 

She's never seen Kani like this and it's - confusing, distressing, but she's not sure what to say, and she's not sure it matters, when they need to find the lion...

"Dreams?" Shiro takes another step into the room. 

At this point, several things happen at once. 

The carvings on the walls begin to glow, blue light racing out along the engraved lines from where Kani sits at the base of the mural. A deep roaring, like rushing water, comes from somewhere beneath the floor.

And the cave around the five of them starts shaking like it's about to collapse. 

Keith dives for Shiro—

"Kani, look out," Magini is running towards her, but she's going to be too slow -

And Ami is frozen in place, brain blank. 

She wakes Bippy 2 out of standby with a flick of the control glove, but she's not worried, not here, not now. The Blue Lioness won't hurt them! 

The floor drops away beneath them. Fast-rushing water washes them down a channel, to land pretty painlessly in a pool of water at the bottom. (Kani gets caught by Bippy 2 instead of falling in the water with the others.) 

Magini yelps in surprise!

"-Are you ok??" She calls out as she floats gently downwards, her floatlamps trailing obediently behind her. 

"No bones broken!" Everyone looks alive, conscious, and unhurt, which is an astoundingly good outcome for a cave-in or an earthquake or whatever that was. 

They're in a new cavern, bathed in the same blue light. This space is much larger than any of the ones they were exploring before, with a ceiling at least 40 or 50 meters high. 

At the far end, encircled by a spherical net of glowing blue lines, is a massive blue robot lion.

 Kani sees Her before she lands in the pool and is already heading towards Her like nobody else is there.
