"We'll see how well I can sleep clinging to your back."

Laugh. "I can certainly manage breaks for some proper cuddling."

"I love you."

!!!!!!!

She makes a happy noise.

"I love you! Too!"

This calls for kisses!

Definitely! Kissing Luc' is more than worth delaying leaving.

They do, eventually, need to leave though. Wyld transforms into a war hawk again, and once Luc' is secured wings towards her steadily growing kingdom. She lands and rises into the sky only under the cover of darkness; still, she and Luc' can spend the nights cuddling.

A week and a half after departing Luc's cottage, she arrives at her front lines, keen eyes assessing them for changes - no major losses, many minor gains, some notable advances, all fortunate given she was gone for nearly a month - and her wings bearing them to the current center of operations, in a forested stretch where her army's size might not be easily counted from the air and where forage is plentiful.

Several intelligent birds rise to investigate her as she approaches; she screeches out pass codes, and they let her by, to land outside a large tent where she can let Luc' off and transform back into her human shape. She immediately groans and stretches - "I should probably get updates and talk to my lieutenants..." she murmurs. "But ugh I want to sleep."

"You could just ask if anything is on fire right now and if not, take a nap," she suggests.

"Hm... Perhaps if you'd be joining me."

"I am at your command, my lady," she murmurs, flourishing a bow.

Oh that's a good thought. (She tries not to wiggle. Wiggling too much isn't very ladylike.)

"Well..." She taps her chin. "I'll seek out my lieutenant for a status report - when I return, I expect you to be in my tent, ready for me, however you think would best please me."

"And that is which one?"

She pats the big tent they're outside of, almost fondly. "This monstrosity. I don't usually sleep in it, but - you deserve somewhere nice."

"I deserve someone nice, too. Don't keep me waiting."

"Oh, I won't," she murmurs, trailing a finger down Luc's cheek - and then stepping back with a wink. "I'll be seeing you shortly, darling."

"Mmm. Good luck."

"And may anything standing between us fall swiftly," she says with a laugh, before heading off - presumably towards her lieutenant.

And Luc' ducks into the tent, taking a quick inventory of its contents.

Thick rugs on the floor. A pile of furs and blankets and pillows for a rather luxurious bed, hidden from the rest of the tent by a folding screen with a landscape of somewhere mountainous and forested painted on it. A light table, capable of being assembled and disassembled quickly, with three chairs around it and an oil lamp with a lighter and some neatly organized set of maps on top, as well as stationary and a writing kit, and a note in a distinctly aristocratic handwriting addressed to Wyld - nothing classified, merely a statement the writer has returned her maps and kept the tent stocked with non-perishable food, anticipating her return, signed by 'Ling.' A chest with the aforementioned supplies (which isn't just hard tack; good quality jerky, hard candies, dried mushrooms, cheese, bread...), as well as clean water. Another chest full of books, apparently mostly on war, government, or poetry. A third, much smaller chest, apparently containing trophies Wyld's taken over her life. Nothing else.

Hm hm hm. Nothing really unexpected. Now, what to do...?

She begins stripping, leaving articles of clothing scattered about in a trail that vaguely points to the bed. There, she rearranges the blankets and pushes the pillows aside, laying down so it's obvious she's meant to take their place.

Wyld returns soon enough, ducking into the tent, calling out, "I'm back, darling..." and grinning when she sees the trail of clothes - grinning even more when she comes around the privacy screen, into full view of Luc'.

"What a lovely sight you make..."

She yawns ostentatiously.

She laughs and slinks over to her girlfriend, laying down with her head on Luc's stomach, gaze turned toward Luc's face.

"I seem to have acquired a lovely new pillow..."

Pet pet.

"So you have."
