"Might be a good idea. Fortunately they probably don't have anything urgent on the scale of ten minutes. If that's not jinxing it." Wry smile "I can check on the laundry while you're doing that."

"Thanks." And off he goes to wash soot off.

And she can move the laundry into the dryer.

He comes out, marks them available, and in not too long has a request to have the two of them come take a look at a dungeon in Kitchener that's less than an hour old, here's the selfie-stick pictures, looks like it's got some kind of gravitational situation and the furniture of the place is resting on the ceiling here and the wall over there and it's infested with overgrown mice that have swords and little plumed hats.

"Our work is never done," he remarks, as he gathers the necessary possessions.

"Gonna have to stop at my place. This morning's dungeon wear is still in the dryer.." She's barefoot and in a tank top and shorts. "I should maybe store a change of clothes here."

"At least one. Do you want me to grab something of Ren's to get you as far as your place?"

"I could borrow a coat. And a pair of socks."

He goes and steals a spare coat and pair of socks out of Ren's possessions.

"Thank you, now I'm slightly more reasonably dressed for March."

"All right, let's saddle up." Stuff in truck. Fresh ammo. Off to her house for a change of clothes and then on to the dungeon.

She can grab an extra change of clothes to leave at his place while she's at home.

"Y'wanna have music on?" he inquires, pulling back onto the road.

"Sure, why not? I'm not picky about music."

He turns on the stereo. It's an eclectic mix.

Fortunately she does in fact enjoy, or at least tolerate almost anything. She occasionally sings along with something, reasonably competently.

And eventually they are at their destination and he can go shoot swordfighting mice with hats at her direction through the dungeon. The team would like the map annotated with the direction of gravity in each chamber, please.

Sure. She can do that. She'll do the markings in red so they stand out at a glance. She's maybe a little more thorough than usual at keeping an eye on Traceless's route and checking in with him.

No big surprises this time. There's a boss monster, a big rat in a suit of armor, but he can go right up to it and aim his gun through the grilles in its helmet.

"I'm tempted to suggest catching a few mice but I'm not sure how interesting they'd be out of context."

"Yeah, if they shrink at all they're just mice in hats, and maybe they wouldn't even go on wearing the hats, they're not even decorator colors."

"They're sort of cute but zoos already have plenty of cute critters.."

"Yeah. It'd be worth it if I had a monster zoo, but I do not at this time."

"I have brought that idea up with a few people, they generally agree it's a neat idea but nobody has any logistical insight at this time. Somebody did suggest she could help with marketing pitches to investors but she agrees with my impression that you likely want to have at least a tentative idea of how you're dealing with the logistical aspects before you think about that."

"Yeah. I should put out feelers on my blog, the kind of person who wants to run a monster zoo might well already read Eventualities."

"That would be a logical plan, yes. I can keep poking people though."
