"I believe so."

She's not going to hurt these usefully with force. Silent Image, a blob of darkness filling the cavern. The edge facing them has a weird jagged shape, making it easy to see when it moves.

"Illusion. If you wait a moment I can wiggle it, may help you see through."

And she will move back, away from the murder fungi. What a surprise.

The sounds of movement can be heard within the darkness.

Tomas walks into the darkness and then back out. "I couldn't see through it."

Julen walks into the darkness and down the tunnel. "I can see just fine. This room is quite narrow. Be careful."

Yanor follows him and doesn't comment. His vision seems fine.

The fungi are unable to locate them within the darkness. They move erratically.

"Tomas, watch it moving as a clump. Not how normal darkness works." Wiggle wiggle?

He squints. "I still can't see through it. Can you lead me through?"

"Forces us to stay too close, I think. Watch for Yanor's torchlight, try to track the shadows, they're probably not quite right. I'll tell you if you're about to hit a fungus. More than that won't work around the curve."

In she goes, just far enough forward for the fungi to be in view.

The fungi are uncomfortably close but without their strange vision they do not attack.

Toms strides forward into the darkness and walks right into one of the long tentacles. "Ah! Fuck!" He leaps backward and slams into a wall. "I'm fine... I'm fine... ow..."

He shakes his head and looks around. "Of course now I can see."

"Fungus there! ...sorry, too late."

Julen looks back for a moment before continuing forward.

The fungus lumbers toward Tomas's old position. He's already out of the way.

Yanor is still following Julen.

She will hold the fungus and follow Julen through. If he prefers bypassing to killing, she's fine with that.

Tomas, with his sight restored, follows Julen easily.

Yanor also follows Julen. He's right behind him.

The fungi have no sight and no mind and no memory. None of them follow the party as they leave.

The cavern narrows into a long winding tunnel. They must continue single file from here.

...wait a moment. "Did you repair the fence, or are those fungi about to roam into the troglodyte caverns? I thought the intent was to not leave them all dead."

She will keep holding the illusion.

"Should've thought of that earlier." He turns around and walks past the fungi over to the entrance. He puts the barricade back up as fast as he can.

The fungi can still hear! They slowly move toward the sound.
