The shadow spell fails to effect the demon.

That demon is flying too high up to reach with melee weapons. He will wait for Julen to execute the sleeping demon.

Julen removes the sleeping demon's head with a single swing of his primary sword.

Tomas stows his rapier away and draws his shortbow plus some cold iron arrows.

Yanor will put the demon it sleep if it comes closer to the ground. It would wake from the fall otherwise.

Crushing despair. A horrible dread rips through the party. The demon does not move.

The demon who is conveniently staying more than ten feet from the ground can deal with a Burst of Radiance, in that case. No more need to keep it in place.

(And she doesn't need to put any force behind her spell. Sobbing as she casts it doesn't matter, it still works perfectly fine. So there.)

Then she will move so it doesn't know where she is.

The shimmering light of her spell scorches the demon's flesh. He scream and clutches his eyes.

Julen stows his shortswords and draws his longbow with cold iron arrows.

Tomas sends a cold iron arrow flying at the demon. It cuts a scratch across his left wing.

Yanor continues to wait for the demon to approach the ground.

The demon tries to do... some sort of magic... but nothing seems to happen.

An Ear-Piercing Scream might disorient it too much to stay in the air, which seems more useful here than keeping it in place.

...But the demon's spell resistance catches it. Of course. Oh well.

Julen studies the demon and looses an arrow. It punctures his side and opens a wound.

Tomas sends another arrow at the demon. It scratches him slightly.

Yanor continues to wait for the demon to approach the ground. He really doesn't have any better options here. Demons and especially incubi are immune or resistant to most of his spells.

The demon is also out of options. He drops down—

His baleful glare has been ready this whole time.

—and falls asleep on the floor.

Sob. "Thank you, Yanor." She will not let down her guard until this is done, but she does kind of want to go cry in a corner.

If the incubus gets back up, he can have his shadow stuck to its location. That might not help against flight, but it seems like it has the best chance of working of anything she can do.

Julen tearfully stows his bow and draws his sword and cuts off the demon's head.

Yanor has slumped against a wall. "How many more bursts of radiance do you have today?"

"Hm. I have—" A hitch in her breath. "I cast five, but I bel—"

Crying while talking is incredibly annoying.

"I have more than yesterday." Sob. "Maybe a lot." Small sentences are easy to fit in one breath.

"I felt more space." She can space out her crying. "At least two." Quiver, a tremor but no actual sobbing. She's getting better at handling this in at least this way. "Possibly many more."

She still has no desire to do anything useful while like this. She will sit in a corner and cry. It's not even over anything! It wants her to think this is about her spells being useless a bunch, and that the others are going to abandon her, but that's obviously false! ...it doesn't matter to the magic, though. (Detect Magic? Yes, it's magic. Unsurprisingly.) All she can do is wait it out.

"I'm not certain, but we may wish to retreat for today. I can try to prepare better spells for fighting demons tomorrow."

Nod. She will wait to actually put together a response to that until she isn't constantly sobbing and when it doesn't require active effort to do anything but sit in a corner doing nothing. (She can, is the thing. If she really wanted to. She just isn't really trying, because she's terrible, she deserves this— if this spell will just cut that out!)
