... for a while, anyway. Most of them he doesn't actually need to lead directly to the exit; the problem was being surrounded by jeering goblins, flinging gunk and poking with spears and preventing escape. With those gone, and with clear arrows pointing towards the exit, they can mostly sort themselves out. Clearing the way was the smart thing to do, for more reasons than one.

The last one he finds - and he was not counting how many he found, probably he should have been counting or something - kind of needs to almost carry him out. Because he's back to uncoordinated everything, and shaking hands, and - he's going to have trouble getting himself home, like this.

"I'm fine," he lies, to this person (Melanie, was her name) who was kind enough to make sure he made it outside of the dungeon.

"Yeah," she says, with a little laugh. "Yeah, I - yeah. Thanks for coming to get me. I guess - I guess saving ourselves is the best we're going to get. Smart to carry a gun on you all the time, I'm - I'm going to need to start doing that, too..."

Also: not old enough to drink. Also, also: his relationship with alcohol is complicated, anyway.
