"You get me," she signs with a smile. "Making Sable or Ruby sad is the worst. I'm good for them."

"I wouldn't say I have any deep understanding of your perspective, there, but I certainly understand and agree with your position.  It would be like one of us - of class A - disappointing Kiyuko.  Though now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if Kayama-chan was - doing something similar to you."

Neo tilts her head curiously. That name doesn't quite ring a bell, not for a member of classes 1-A or 1-B. She signs a short question. "Kayama-chan?"

"...Yeah, Kayama Himiko?  She was in 1B.  Knew Kiyuko from before we started at UA; I don't think I ever heard the details, it wasn't a good story, but her birth family were Quirkistly abusive.  She got adopted by Midnight?"

She gasps. "Himiko???" she signs. "Toga Himiko, vampire shapeshifter, got adopted by Midnight???"

"...I'm going to guess that the one you're familiar with did not have anywhere near as much kindness in her life, to have been still going by that family name.  But, yes, that was her Quirk."

She frowns and shakes her head. "Birth parents horribly abusive, no Quirk support, eventually has violent breakdown after suppressing thirst long enough to lose her mind, winds up on street and then villain. Obsessive crush on Midoriya and Uraraka."

"...Well.  She still had that crush.  Worked out a lot better for her where I'm from, though, I have to imagine."

She nods. "Sounds like it," she signs. "Was kind of a mess for her. Always thought she deserved better, glad to know she got it in your world. Did she manage to land both girls, or just pine, or what?"

"I haven't asked, but I'm pretty sure that she did."

She smirks. "Go Himiko."

Then she stretches and nods with a grin. "You're right, though. Himiko definitely gets the thing I'm doing. Probably does the same thing about Kiyuko and Ochako."

"Yeah, that sounds about right."
