She goes to her contacts list and bonks on Kelp's portrait.

"Hello?" Kelp's warm, melodious voice spills out of the phone.

"Um, hi Kelp! It's Audrey, remember me? From, um, that time you fucked me underwater the trans and intersex cuddlepile?"

"Oh, Audrey! Lovely to hear from you again. Do you need your hair brushed again?~"

"Um." She flushes. "Yeah, maybe. But I thought..  Maybe we could chat a little? Learn a little more about each other? And sex would be nice too but I'm getting a little tight on time, I have a date at four."

"Why, what time is it now?"

"Twelve thirty, and I want to prepare for the date staring at three so we have two and a half hours."

"That sounds like plenty of time."

"If we don't dawdle, mhm."

"My place or yours?"

"Honestly, while your place was fun and all, I'd feel more comfortable at mine."

"Alright then." She smiles softly. 

"I'll see you in a few minutes."

"Alright!" And soon there's a knock on her door. 

Audrey opens the door, takes Kelp by the hand with a smile, and guides her in to sit on the bed.

Kelp follows, sitting down on the bed next to Audrey with a small smile.

"You have a kitchen?" She inclines her head towards the kitchen nook.

"Yeah. I like to cook. Especially if it's for people I care about."

Gosh, where did that come from? But it's true.

"Would you like to cook for me sometime? Back in Sirensong there was mostly just fish and fruit, so... You could say I have a lot to catch up on."

"Um. Maybe? It uh. Are you asking me on a date?"

"Hmmmm. I hadn't really thought about it, I just thought it would be fun to have with you. Would you like it to be a date?"

"Ummmmm, maybe, but it doesn't really feel... first-date-y, to me. I mean... being yours, being all... you know, that thing with the song and the hairbrushing, that was such a good thing. But it's... A little fast, asking me to make food for you."

"Oh. Sorry."

"Oh, no, don't be sorry! I still like you and everything, it's just - fast - I'm sorry -"

Kelp lays a hand on Audrey's shoulder. "Breathe. It's okay, I understand what you're saying. I'm not hurt or anything."
