“Do you know him well? Is he likely to not freak out about the mals thing, or at least not ask too many questions about where I got any goodies I hand out?”

"Don't know him that well, no."

“I guess I can imply they come from my home dimension. I’m not totally thrilled about giving someone mal traits without telling them so but I am even less thrilled about letting them die.”

"You could go hypothetical? Like, if there were a way to do this, would you want me to."

“I don’t think if I say ‘hypothetically if I DFEW’d a bunch of mals would you want mal vision’ anyone would believe it was hypothetical. —Well, I suppose most people here don’t know me that well yet. There’s still the trend that hypothetical things often aren’t, but I could suggest it was something I was considering doing in the future, rather than a fait accompli.”

"I wasn't imagining being as specific as telling him the mechanism would involve DFEW."

“‘Would you want mal traits if it could maybe fix your eyes’ feels like it would still be kind of ominous.”

"Yeah, kinda."

“I could start with less extreme ideas, anyway. Who is it?”

"Hans Pracht."

“What does he look like?”

"Yea tall, brown hair, kind of pink freckle marks around the top half of his face from the accident."

“Okay, at dinner I’ll ask to talk to him privately. Thanks.” And if she can’t immediately fix his eyesight she might just invite him to move into her pocket dimension where it’s less likely to kill him.

"I hope that works."

“I hope it works on as many as several levels, yeah.”

"If it works totally fine I think I'd ultimately want all of those except maybe not the agglo one.'

"Fair to not want the agglo one. Although I can unstick things as well." She pulls a pen out of her pocket, sticks it to the back of her hand, turns her hand over to demonstrate it not falling, then plucks it back off again.

"I can see how it'd be useful but I'm not sure I want the habits it would engender."

"Habits?"

"I'd go around with an embroidery needle behind my ear and a pen on my arm and it'd look strange and I'd forget they were there."

"Huh, yeah, that does sound like something that could happen if you could stick arbitrary small objects to yourself but not pull them out of otherwise empty pockets."

"Exactly."

"Maybe at some point everything I can hand out will be so normalized that you can do it anyway, sounds handy."

"I might want it even with the habit forming risk for having more stuff immediately to hand while brewing."
