"Someone who doesn't eat meat because they object to killing animals." 

"No, I was not."

She wants to argue with him more about this but if he's just being crotchety because of all the horrible suffering then that's valid of him. 

She dumps the rest of the powers on him. 

"That's markedly uncomfortable even given the background sensations I'm subject to," he says mildly.

"Wow! I did not mean to do that! What...part...is uncomfortable. Is it the enhanced sense of smell."

"I don't know, there's a lot to process. That might be contributing at all."

"Well. I'm sorry." Next time she finds a Name Of Guy In Maw-Mouth to experiment on she will try giving them everything one at a time. 

"I think that... some of me might be in a different place?"

"Oh! Is it like--" she assembles and then projects the sensation of having a pocket dimension and being inside and outside it at the same time. 

"Perhaps it would be more like that if I were more intact."

"That's...fair."

"If you say so."

"Idiomatically what I mean is that it seems likely to be an accurate assessment."

"It might," he allows after a pause, "be an improvement when I am more accustomed to it."

"I sincerely wish you luck with that. Also I'll see if I can pick up anything that lets you move your...that...around the pocket dimension more volitionally."

"I don't know how any of me is supposed to be oriented relative to the rest of it any more, so I don't know if that would help."

"I don't either. I will see what I can do." 

She doesn't have a lot more to say to him but she doesn't want to just leave him alone in the maw-mouth so she hangs the mirror up and leaves an audiobook playing about mundane history that occurred between when he got eaten and the current point in the Scholomance timeline. 

He does eventually croak out a grudging "thank you".

And in the morning at breakfast she keeps an eye out for El. 

There she is, loading up on toast and eggs. She smiles very faintly at Kareen.

"Hey. Weird question, I imagine you get a lot of spells that are, uh, more in-affinity than useful. Do any of them spagghetify things without killing them?"

"...without killing them. Not really? That seems like a pretty lethal thing to do to something."

"Hm. Pity. If I could use it on a mal I could practice fixing them without having to try it for the first time on, you know, someone who'd been through enough already."

"I have - no, that's not - hm."

"If it helps I was more thinking of stretching than slicing when I said spaghetti, not that I expect that to matter to what you have now or anything. But like. If you have a better chance of getting a spell like that if you asked for it than I do."
