He's feeling a lot like sucker punching Tōdō after all this bullshit but he'll be the bigger man and unsummon his shikigami as he accepts Akiho's hand. "Yeah. Fine."

"Fish flakes," Inumaki says to Tōdō, sounding disapproving.

"If she thinks this is the last of it..." says Mai, to Maki or to herself. She does stop struggling, though.

"Yeah, yeah. You'll get her next time. C'mon, I'll help you out of that."

And Maki leans down to help disentangle her sister. Without Akiho's cursed energy flowing through it, it's pretty trivial to break.

Mai stands up and takes a step away from Maki, looking almost disgusted to have been touched by her.

Maki rolls her eyes.

"It's not contagious, you know."

"Mai! Time to go. We don't want to miss our train." He looks around. "Ah! That's where I left my jacket."

"Tch," is all she says, walking over to Tōdō without another word.

Seems she does not want to stay around any longer.

And thus, the Kyoto students depart.

"... They're not going to get in trouble for any of this mess, are they."

"The Kyoto principal's visiting today, to work out some details about the exchange event. They probably came with him."

"Wow."

"Salmon."

Inori dusts himself and shrugs. "...I think I wish to visit Ieiri-san."

"Probably best if we end today's tutoring session early, anyway."

"This fight didn't matter, and now they're just going to be mad and better informed for the event itself. Slacking off just because they showed up is a terrible work ethic."

"It's fine. I'll go check on how my fan's coming along, I heard it was almost done. I'd like to get used to the differences on my own time anyway, I'd hate to embarrass myself in front of my senpai." And also she's too annoyed to properly focus right now. She looks at Inori-san. "Want company?"

Inori looks at Maki and almost says something but instead just looks at Akiho, nods, and leads the way.

She gives the upperclassmen a wave goodbye, and follows after him.

So. Uh. So. She's pretty sure she didn't imagine him immediately looking at her after Todo's (incredibly stupid) question? Probably she should. Do something. About that.

... She doesn't quite know what to do about that.

Well, if he has something to do about that, he's taking his time.

...also he's limping. A little bit. It's barely noticeable. And one of his arms is definitely a little bit stiffer than the other.

"... Do you want help? Walking, I mean? You could, um." Oh no, now that this is in context of two teenagers attempting to conduct a teenage mating ritual, this is such an awkward offer. "Put your arm around me and I could relieve the weight from your leg?"

He shakes his head. "Leg's fine. Just ribs and—hip—a bit, shakes wrong."

"Oh, hell. I'm sorry. Uh. I could probably carry you?"

That startles a laugh out of him, followed by a wince. "That will not be necessary, Akiho-chan." ...oh wait now he remembers the thing Tōdō asked and he just used her personal name and, and. And.

"I-I mean I know it's not necessary, I just. ...Care about you and don't want you to be in pain."
