Well, would they like her to demonstrate healing.  Presumably that's the important part.

They are not legally allowed to do that until she's hired but they do want to do a trial period, of, say, one week. Is she willing to work nights?

. . . Can she decide that once she knows a bit more.  What does working here actually look like, with something as fickle as emotion-based healing?

So they currently have two witches on staff, an old lady named Zasie and a man barely older than Judy called Graham. A staff witch gets her own room for meditation and meals and so on, though they're also totally welcome to mingle in the break room for both; Judy'll have to do her meditating in the courtyard to start out for her trial period but they can clear an office for her if they keep her. Witches are most called for in trauma cases, but there aren't enough of those coming in regularly enough to keep her busy, and of course witches often find it hard to respond to sudden emergencies, so she will probably spend more time patching up surgical recoveries and working with oncologists.

That makes sense.  She has reason to believe she might be at least a little unusually good at handling sudden emergencies, what with her one big case having been one of those, although of course she won't know for sure until she's been in more situations like that - when would she be starting, if accepted?

Her trial period can start in two days, shadowing Zasie and matching her schedule (Zasie takes Tuesdays and Wednesdays off).

Sounds great.  Is there anything else they want from her now?

"When is it okay to call this reference?"

"I think after seven pm generally, or also within the next hour or so."

"All right, great. That's all I need today."

"Thank you."  And bus back home to her GIRLFRIEND for their DATE.

They take a different bus to get to Minnetrista! Millie thinks Judy should pick what to do since it's her first time.

Ooooh gardens!  Gardens are really pretty and maybe they can make out in them!

They can! They can make out in them!

"I think it would be bad of me to pick a flower and tuck it into your hair but please imagine me doing that," Judy giggles between kisses.

"Awww, I'm imagining it - which flower should I imagine -"

"Let's see . . ."  She leans over to a hydrangea, pretends to inspect it very closely, and then points to an individual floret within one of the clusters.  "This one."

"Aww." She puts a hand to cup the imaginary flower in place behind her ear and twirls.

"Eee you're so pretty.  - What else is here; everything I've seen sounds cool so maybe you should pick next."

"They've got quilts!"

"Let's go see the quilts!!"

The quilts are very impressive examples of the form.

Judy is appropriately impressed!  And possibly inappropriately saccharine and PDA-ful about how she and Millie could totally snuggle up in them (or similar, non-museum-display versions) and how cozy they would be.

Millie is not one bit less syrupy about Judy!
