"Want to go find a likely-looking girl, then?"

"Thought you'd never ask."

Time for a trip to the city, then.

Ellie's going to have to lead the way.

She can drive them in.

Knife should speak up if she sees someone she likes the look of.

Hm... Tough choices...

- That one. Blonde, looks to be her height and build, off on her own and looks the sort of lonely where she won't be missed too fast.

"Might be easiest to take her while she sleeps," Knife murmurs, "Though then you'd have to stay back while I stalk her, probably..."

"I don't mind. I'll park, and you can come find me when you're done."

"Might take a little while..."

"There's a coffeeshop over there I can lurk in."

"Okay. Hopefully she's early to bed."

"A good thing's worth a little effort."

Giggle.

"True enough."

"Well, see you later." And she walks into a nearby alley - getting out of sight before she fades into invisibility.

Ellie settles down to wait with a coffee and a book.

It takes a while - nearly until the coffee shop closes - but... There's Knife in different clothes than she left in, seeming more... Real. Like the world is actually touching her.

"Hello there."

"Good evening, beatiful."

"Coffee for the road?"

"Ooo, yes."

Ellie orders them two more coffees, similar to how Knife has been making them for her at home.

She makes so many appreciative noises.

That bodes promisingly for the rest of the night.

It does.

Fortunately, she can finish the coffee on the road...

Excellent idea.

The old house for this, then?

If Knife's all right with it. Fewer neighbors.
