It can also do heat vision! Or intuition about how fires start and grow! But not right now because it gave her the first one in a hurry and now there are no more slots.

A firefighter meets them near the elevator shaft with a firehose.

"Chief says you folks will be able to use this — we'll turn it on once you're down the shaft, but be careful because it will whip around if nobody's controlling it."

This last might be added upon seeing that the arriving superheroes appear to be on the short side. Maybe they shrunk in the wash.

"Thank you — I'll be able to control the water," Kaldur assures him.

:Ready,: Topaz's team mates chorus.

We're the big damn heroes, here to save the day, flying down one of those stupid cinematic giant elevator shafts!

This is great!!

She hups them into the air, and slowly lets them all fall, making sure she has control the whole time.

The elevator shaft is really deep ... but the amount of heat and smoke suggests that the fire source is probably 'only' 15 stories underground. Robin forces the door at the appropriate level and Kid Flash disappears in a burst of speed, searching the floor.

:I'm talking with the group mind,: Miss Martian relays, sounding a bit distracted. :But there's another mind about 30 feet north and 20 feet down from your location. It's barely conscious, but I don't know why.:

The fire hose bulges to life, and Kaldur starts guiding the stream of water as Kid Flash directs.

:Topaz, can you bring me down another two floors? Also: can you use blue light to do healing?:

Oo interesting!

:I can heal! I'm not practiced at it, though, and I don't think it's the best at being comprehensive.  Probably going to be a bit of a power and attention hog, too.:

She flies down another two floors with Robin, and goes looking for the barely conscious mind herself.

Based on Miss Martian's directions, it's over here. Behind this conveniently unlocked-and-propped-open secret-looking door!

Please ignore the ominous thumping.

She peers in!

At the far end of the room, a surprisingly spacious glass tank contains a young man with dark black hair and a white glowing bodysuit. He looks delirious, and is pounding against the side of the tank. The tank is labeled "Kr", and its surrounding monitoring equipment is beeping angrily.

:Looks like they've got a kryptonian in a tank, for some reason? He doesn't look coherent, so there might be a fight. I can make red sunstones that'll weaken his powers, but I'm not sure how much good that will do while his suit is up and running. Worth trying diplomacy, if we can? But I doubt his mind is in a great shape right now and he might have something to do with the telepaths Miss Martian sensed earlier so...:

She starts making the red sun crystal, and cautiously steps out of the way of his path if he just wants to leave. She could probably do kryptonite, too, but her and kid flash are probably the only ones with a proper defense against the radiation, here and it's not exactly the best footing to start out on, if he becomes more sensible.

To Robin:

:Does any of this equipment or the info on the screens mean anything to you?:

One thing you pick up quickly while working as a tech hero under the world's greatest detective: how to skim screens of surprisingly relevant information in supervillain bases in the blink of an eye.

:He's a clone — a hybrid,: Robin deduces. :Part Kryptonian, part human. He'll probably respond to red light, but maybe not identically to a full Kryptonian.:

:One of the staff just turned big and grey and sprinted into the building,: Miss Martian relays, her mind-voice sounding strained. :Not sure why.:

:We're almost done with this floor,: Kaldur relays. :Should we move to intercept?:

:Maybe? I—:

Her mind voice cuts off suddenly.

This is why you never split the party!

:Any -:

No - "Any useful controls on the pod?"

She's not entirely sure what she's looking for and not too sure if he'll actually make things that much worse if they just leave him be but -

No, no, they can take care of themselves - Miss Martian can outrange a guy with superstrength just fine with her flight and they've trained for this more than she has. This is right in front of her and she's probably the person best equipped to deal with this who is going to be here for the forseeable.

Robin scans across levers related to various kinds of drug injection and hypnosis.

"Ah! I can release the door. Ready?"

She takes a deep breath and -

Oh that's a thought. She has a general understanding of how a sunstone suit would have to work, and what would be in that, so making something that very much is not that from the materials in the little spots where the sunlight is stored or discharged... That might be something?

She nods very slightly.

"Ready."

Robin pulls the release lever, and the boy in the bodysuit stumbles out, crashing into a bank of equipment. Robin has sensibly hidden themself behind a handy table, so when the boy rolls to his feet he takes a swing at Topaz instead.

Aaa nope!

She frantically flies away from that, before creating a dazzling flash of light and a... blast of blue-green energy at his chest, in lieu of having anything more specific in mind, to hopefully stagger him a bit maybe? Really she just needs a bit of time to orient before trying anything fancy - she has no illusions that at least without rallying her emotions or something tricky she'll be able to do more than that.

He's really quite badly out of it. The blast knocks him over and sends him sprawling against the wall.

"... Superman?" he slurs, trying to focus on Topaz.

She unslots that firesensing power, and raises her hands into the air.

"He isn't here."

...And he's a kryptonian - of laser eye fame - looking at her. Aaaaaaah?

If he was going to do it, then he probably would have already. He hasn't flown, either, so this is... less bad then it could be, if this keeps on being a fight? So... Peace, for the moment?

Um... can she get a power that can give her a sense of what's wrong with him, mentally?

Like ... touch range non-consensual diagnostics-only telepathy? Or maybe skill and intuition with diagnosing brain-related injuries? It could do those!
