The preparation process is smooth, simple - despite the amount of things that she's crammed into her pack.

Her body has always been her biggest asset - the enchantments that made her get to be the sort of thing that she was were what really mattered, alongside the little metal-skin defense. That'd give her a proper chance, alongside the few kilos of ink, brushes and needles that'd let her expand it all out, and a necklace and bejeweled sword for magic storage, as much as that was something that always irked her, a little. Effeciencies were never too good, and it's always nicer to just get that magic to work, but needs must.

Practicalities have to be considered, of course - something for periods in the years to come, because bleeding like that is one of the reasons that she really didn't want to get stuck with this sort of body indefinitely, and even beyond the standard considerations one wants to avoid leaving that sort of trail for monsters to follow, and some simple camp gear were to be included, of course - a swiss army knife and a matching multitool, some matches, a flashlight in case something happened to the lighting system, clothes, first aid kit (with two healing cookies for completeness), two water bottles, and a decent whetstone for keeping those blades sharp and ready to slice.

Lastly, there's still the pencils and journal, for the school's more normal functions.

She sighed. There's not to much that they could do about all this - they'd always been kind, but there's no foolproof way through this, and she knew enough to know that it was pretty easy to be caught a fool, when the stakes were this high...

There skin crawled just a little, the little edge of dysphoria for not having the shifting tuned just right for what they were.

They tched.

Just need a nother minute, then none of that should really matter...

They, She, He breathed out, mind-flickering with an edge of raw nerves.

It's time.

And then they were gone in a flash.
