This phrasing (predictably) earns Jubilost's ire, because if she turned good tea into leaf water that is an offense to the gods themselves.

And (also predictably) summons an introverted ranger and his giant wolf out of hiding.

He looks over the assorted pair of parties with a critical eye, gives Zanmi a respectful nod that absolutely translates to a silent, 'Glad to see you're better,' and then acquires coffee.

It is fairly obvious that he should not be spoken to before he has had his coffee. He will be having it in This Corner. Do not bother him in his corner.

Okbo is more friendly. He gives a friendly sort of nose boop to Bergamot first.

Hi, big cat friend! Look! Their pack is bigger!! Hi many new friends, Okbo is pleased to meet you, he would like to sniff everyone, pretty please? He is a good wolf and knows his manners. But he would really really like to.

(This nose boop is tolerated with the grace and patience of a cat who is used to this sort of nonsense by now. He has long taught the hound not to linger too long in the sniffing. Do not ask questions about how the hound was taught these lessons.)

Ekundayo gets a respectful nod!

All three blue girls will allow sniffing, though Zan is clearly the most dogpilled of the three of them.

"Helllooooo," she says to Okbo, delightedly. "Oh, do I smell funny? Is it because I was in the Abyss? I bet the Abyss smells sooooo weiiiiird."

(Does he want pets and scritches? Zan can definitely provide those.)

OMIGOSH YESSSSSS yes yes yes yes yes he does pets pets pets pets pets scritches scritches scritches~!

Anyway Zan clearly doesn't smell enough like Pack yet, so Okbo will help her with this problem. He walks a little past her to give her the perfect scritching spot, and then: flomp. All of the weight of the wolf, suddenly leaning on her.

Zan is now being grappled (read: squished in a friendly manner) by a giant wolf. How would she like to proceed?

Zan is stronger than Ridaya and Umakhi combined, and is not overly encumbered by Okbo's weight! She doesn't contest the grapple, instead opting to make several scritches of opportunity. She laughs happily. "Oooooh, who's a good boy?? Is it you??"

IT IS. IT IS HIM. IT IS ABSOLUTELY HIM, HE IS THE BEST BOY, AND HE IS SO GLAD ZAN NOTICED.

All of her scritches of opportunity land: this wolf clearly has a weakness for pets. He uses his own round for the combat maneuver of: facelick! This involves slightly less leaning on her, to properly aim at her face, but there is still a lot of wolf doing a lot of leaning.

Ekundayo is watching this with just the faintest hint of a smile. He would intercede (Okbo is his responsibility) if this seemed like the kind of interaction that was unwanted from one of the associated parties, but: this seems fine.

(The absolute minute Zan wants the wolf off of her, though: that will happen. Okbo is very well trained.)

Zan doesn't presently mind being licked (she needs to wash up after this anyways) and will continue to apply scritches and happy cooing until there's a social situation she wants to intercede in more seriously than she can from here.

Umakhi is absorbed in her alchemy and doesn't need anything!

And Luto is hanging out with Linzi and doing her best not to stare at the very hot sorceress.

Very hot sorceress: has taken a single cup of tea back to her wand crafting corner. Where she is crafting a wand again, while keeping an eye on things from afar, in case there needs to be any social sorceries. Mostly: everybody is getting along fine without any management.

But, after Ekundayo has finished his coffee and everyone has eaten:

"So, the Commune from Sarenrae came back for a 'Yes,' on just calling Tristian back." Brief pause to let that sink in. "And a second 'Yes,' for him being under some kind of mental effect."

... That part wasn't in the earlier report he got before he slept. He frowns, a little.

"Any arguments for not doing the Planar Binding today, in one of the side rooms here? I'm a bit low on spells from teleporting around, but I have a couple sixth-circles left, and..." She does not want to leave Tristian wherever he's been taken longer than she has to. She is not going to do something stupid like 'try to call him when her party's not ready and available,' but.

"... Rather leaving off any time for preparation, aren't we," says Jubilost, archly. "And can you even cast Planar Binding yet? You just made sixth-circle."

Enigmatic smile!

"I can cast it today," she says, without further elaboration.

This seems to catch Jubilost by surprise, but - if she says she can, then she can. Maybe she has a scroll or something.

Huh. Planar Binding is sixth circle, but the sorceress just hit it and picked up Greater Dispel Magic, so - oh, right, she has the vestments, so maybe she just needs Zan to get the scroll for her and they already planned on that?

Umakhi is signing her stream of thought, more or less on autopilot (which is good, because if she thought about it, she'd remember that Ridaya isn't here to be her primary-interpreter).

They sure did not talk about that, actually?

"I am going to the upper level to conduct some finances, if you don't already have a scroll for it and want one," she says neutrally. (With a lapful of Big Friendly Dog, it's harder to have a full nonverbal conversation with Sivi, and Zan also wants Uma to hear her contributions being used - it's good for her.)

"I literally just came from Absalom," points out Sivetrys, a little amused. "I'm all right, but thank you."

Also. Scrolls of Planar Binding are an absolute pain to acquire on the open market, for obvious reasons of so many casters do not want scrolls like that on the open market.

Not to mention: expensive. It's reaching the point where it might genuinely be more cost effective to track down an amenable appropriately circled wizard to scribe her a whole damn spellbook, instead of continuing to collect scrolls that are being used as one.

Huh. Zan's pretty sure she's missing something, here. She'll signal some muted curiosity with her body language.

"If you don't mind waiting until I get back from above, I'd love to be around when you call him," she says instead.

Sivetrys smiles enigmatically, but doesn't elaborate. Sorry! She is actively ~being mysterious~ here, nothing personal. High circle spellcaster, you know, she has to have some kind of concern for security. Just in general, even with her friends.

(Probably it's a scroll and she's just having fun. Or she might've finally acquired a proper spellbook. One of those, surely.)

"That'd be fine, two parties in case something goes weird is smart. Calling him might stir something up, after all, and we need to make preparations anyway."

Valid to be enigmatic! It's not Zan's personal style (or any of her family's, really, even Umakhi loves it when Ridaya does the explaining) but she can respect it.

She nods. "Alright. I'll head up top to negotiate the sale of our plunder - oh, that reminds me, Jubilost, did you get a chance to look into the diamonds?"
