They stop for a moment to recontextualize the drinking of the liquid as one related to enjoyment, instead of something solely intended to help Bar fulfil its mission of serving drinks.

"It was... Wonderful actually. Very enjoyable. I particularly like the █████████ ██████, it gave it (remembering context the Bar gave) some nice sting."

I'm glad!

They turn to the stars again and let themselves be captured once more.

A few moments pass.

"Did I understand correctly that you exchange... Currency? For more of those drinks?"

Yes!

"I come from a place which do not employ the use of currency. Are there alternate kinds of barter you accept?"

Sure! Precious metals, and jewels, are considered valuables in many worlds, for example!

"Jewels?"

They hold their hand under the bar, and with a warble and a splash they get a fist sized uncut topaz, very wet, and with a fair amount of dirt still on it.

"I noticed this on the ocean floor once, would this count as a jewel?"

Certainly. That's worth rather a lot more than a drink though, so I can open a tab for you, and I'll keep track of how many more drinks you can buy!

"Then I would like to order another mug of that... tea."

A mug appeared.

People usually drink it slower, a sip at the time, by the way.

"I see."

They start drinking, slower this time, paying attention to the taste of the kelp and the █████████ ██████. It's really quite good. 

They glance out the window once more.

"I don't need sleep, but maybe I needed this moment of rest", they say, when there's a third of the cup left.

Most people need a break, sometimes.

They finish their cup and set it down.

"Thank you for this."

Any time!

They stand up, turn toward the door, and walk up to it.

Then a warble starts, before they open the door to a flat wall of water. They pause for a moment, glance one last time at the tapestry of stars, and step back into the deep.
