may I have this trance?
A singlet Eva on

It's been a long few years since Evangeline Ingram was admitted to the early psychosis prevention program, after getting involved in a cult larp that quickly became altogether too real. She's still on a light dosage of antipsychotics for "stabilization purposes" even five years later, and hasn't touched another cult larp in almost three years. Which is a shame, because like 30% of trans women, she pleats Goddess.

As of a few weeks ago, that's starting to change, though. She's hypnotizing people again, and the thrill's almost as potent as it was the first time around. Her sworn advisors have long since started advising her to get back into the scene, and at last, she's starting to settle back into the rhythm of trance.

But tonight she's back at home, in her clan compound, and browsing the internet, her fingers lingering on her Kept pendants as she mouses with her other hand. While it's not typical for someone to be more than one person's Kept, frankly, she doesn't care what the rules are supposed to be. She has two Kepts, and it's as simple as that.

Her phone beeps, and she knocks back her risperidone pill with a swig of her salt drink.

Tapping on her desk, she yawns and stretches. She needs to get up, she's turning into a fossil here at her computer.
