There's nothing contraindicating it but they don't have to do it right now, and Rendon is fine with waiting until people are ready.

The bridge is a good distance away from the disappearance point but Rendon will ask Lawrence to mark the bridge and to cover up the top of the hole with marble so people don't fall in in case the evacuation becomes chaotic. Which it probably will be.

Can Cor stand at this spot, please.

Rendon will try mentally willing Cor to pass through the bridge, then gesturing towards him, and then touching him and doing so.

:I think I need to physically push you. The books said something along those lines but I didn't know how much of the language was metaphorical. I'll have Eyeless ready to catch you on the other side. Is that fine?:

:I don't know what you mean. You'd still be on the ground because the far side of the bridge is also on ground level. You will retain your posture and momentum, I'm pretty sure. I'm telepathically connected to the Eyeless on the other side so I am confident in them catching you.

Also, my telepathy doesn't work across worlds, but I'll follow in after you. The kind I'm using to talk to you is Mu telepathy, not Prison telepathy.:

The surroundings change. The air is cool and still. The sky is overcast with purple clouds. 

The ground is mostly flat marble interspersed with black gnarled things that look like thick cords or ropes twisting against each other, from which spheres hang. In the distance, someone is flying and tall marble walls trail after him.

He is caught by figures who are wearing something very similar to Rendon, except their entire head is covered seamlessly. There aren't any holes for any of the presumable face holes.

:Your teleportation magic works across worlds. Can you or others make more gates that we bring through to Asphodel once the bridge is made? That would worsen the disappearance point growth issue but my Master has proposed the plan of bringing the mages to an asteroid or moon in your world to set up disappearance points.:

:I have no idea if normal gates will work between universes - and if they can, we should cannibalize some from Gatesnest as parts of it are evacuated, rather than creating new ones - but in any event gates are disappearance points and I don't think we should bring them to Asphodel, especially since Ranary being able to return means we can connect to disappearance points that aren't in the same world as us:

:My Master should test whether or not it's possible to imprison disappearance points, then. He can do this after the seven days of familiarization. If they can be, we can bring some to Asphodel and then he can imprison them once people are through. And see whether or not mages can still use an imprisoned disappearance point.:

:We could perhaps find a gate to borrow and check if it works between my world and Prison, which would be proof of concept, and then just bring it back, now while bandwidth isn't at such a premium.
