"Mmhm.  Be warned, it isn't meant to be a very secure method of notetaking.  Contestants won't be able to see it by default, but it's crackable if they have relevant skills."

"And know that just because there isn't a visible keyboard or screen, it doesn't mean that viewers can't slow down footage and make pretty good guesses about what you typed.  If any shots of that make it into the show.  We might sometimes ask if you have any notes you're okay with sharing; it'd make a nice overlay to accentuate your more-visible reactions.  A bit like the confessionals."

"Explain 'confessionals', is that a genre term of art?"

"It is.  Every now and again, we bring people into a room one at a time and interview them about what's been happening.  It gives us something to cut to, or narration to put over other events, to give the audience context for what's happening and to let people have a chance to say things they wouldn't want to publicly."

As they cross over the pole and make their way across a field, the rings appear again, and so does a lake.  There are two buildings nearby, one, a pavilion with lounging spots and a bar, the other a set of bathrooms, showers, and changing stalls.  At the lake itself, there's a beach here, and a hill over here that cliffs off into a jumping-off spot, and some sandbars and low islands in the middle.

"Very swimmable-looking." He dips a hand in to see if it's a nice temperature.

"There are some more gardens that way," Journey gestures to the right, "and the other side of the plateau over there," left.  "But now you've seen pretty much everything we've got here this week.  It'll change every now and again; there's some stuff I think everyone will have a lot of fun with, coming up."
