"If there's synergy, do I need all five ranks to do that?"

"Need all five ranks to get synergy, or to resurrect the dead?"

"Could I resurrect the dead by applying enough synergy to what is witchily speaking a rank four potion."

"...Unfortunately, while you don't have to buy your rank five right now, I do need to know where to put its potential. I mean, I could also just not finish designing and implementing your witchness now, but you can't become a witch who could take rank five in either of multiple things."

"Rank five curses, necromancy, or digicasting will do immortality. Rank five portals lets you go to places arbitrarily far away, that you've never personally been to. Rank five dominion approximately lets you create enclaves."
