Celebrimbor is having ideas about designs. She's probably going to end up creating multiple, actually, if the first one goes well...

"You probably shouldn't make more than one like mine - where you pour your own will and selfhood into it. That seems - likely to be risky."

"Hm. I can see how it would be, if the process is subtractive. But... I feel it must be possible to maintain some of that versatility without doing so..."

Creating arbitrary new life might be well in the future, but a filter of sorts to expand and enhance the wearer's abilities, or a rudimentary intelligence... They'll have to scale back, ironically, but...

Prototypes are like that sometimes.

Always interesting, though. 

Indeed. Celebrimbor is eager to see how her own prototype will turn out.

"Mine is a masterpiece." Her Precious, a prototype to be improved on with future models? Never. Precious is perfect and wonderful and Annatar will be improving Precious directly and creating an array of other artifacts for it to command, not supplanting it.

That sounds like an excellent idea.

"Not every prototype is later surpassed. I can only hope my efforts are half so successful."

She rubs her thumb over her Precious's band. "With my guidance and your natural brilliance, anything is possible."

"Indeed. The world shall bow in awe."

Celebrimbor thinks she wants to get started on the ring right away. Would Annatar mind delivering these bracelets? Or she can send for one of the runners, but she thinks the personal touch is worthwhile in this case.

"Who are they for?"

"A curious pair of visitors to our city I encountered in the guild hall earlier."

"Curious enough you're already giving them personal gifts?"

"I have... a feeling about them."

"What kind?"

"They're important somehow. More than they seem."

"Worth luring in for more investigations, then."
