You tell me that your parents don't understand you. But you don't understand them
Elsewhere triplets growing up

(Title from translated lyrics of the song Parents and Children)

There is so much about their parents that was confusing. It was hard to miss, when nearly everyone would comment about it the moment they introduced themselves.

"Vaesteri? What a pretty name. Where is it from?"

Their parents told them that they have been born in Brazil. So they said it was from there. The triplets own first names were fairly common Portuguese-or-Spanish names. Fernando, Felix and Thomas. Fairly normal.

But their parents name weren't.

Dal-Estare and Dal-Nateiran. Hyphened, and they made a point of not accepting nicknames or short versions.

People really wanted to know where those came from. Often with raised eyebrows. The triplets wanted to know too.
