The science club is very happy to have her! The next demonstration is actually tomorrow, and it's about hydrology.

The reading club is more reserved, but perhaps that's because its representative is too busy gushing about this month's most recommended novel. Same author as that mediocre adventure she read part of back in the holding cell.

She mentions having read the mediocre adventure. She does not mention the circumstances.

"I always thought the Mountain series was a bit slow, you know, it's stuffy fantasy stuff. All elves and old magic and so on. Cyberpunk is much more relevant to the modern day. I'm done reading Sky Eye, so how about we go to the library and I turn it in and you check it right back out?"

They do that. Lea keeps up a running commentary on literary trends and her favorite books, "So excited to have someone new to talk with, new opinions are great," unless Anna-Seraphina interjects.

No, listening to someone chatter about something they're passionate about that also interests Anna-Seraphina without them requiring much in the way of participation from her is one of the best kinds of social interaction there is.

There are occasional 'well what do you think?'s, but, yeah.

Anna-Seraphina will make honest but spartan commentary in relevant slots.

Well, Lea tires to pick at one of her opinions - really, Zar is a great character why do you say he's shallow - (she seems to have a bit of a crush).

His personality doesn't get a lot of display! All the focus is on what he does, not why he does it or what he thinks of it or anything like that. She's not saying he's shallow for sure, but his portrayal definitely is.

That's...

...A fair point. Why did the author do that mumble grumble.

Library is reached and book exchange made. "Looking forward to the discussion on Friday!"

"That's what fanfiction is for," she says in response to author-related grumbling. "I'm looking forward to it too."

"I'm a terrible writer. Couldn't do it myself. But I bet there's good fan fiction about Zar somewhere, yeah... Bye!"

She is given a big packet of make-up study material for most classes, with various deadlines. Not too arduous, probably. Nothing else particularly diverting happens. Kent picks her up on time. "School go okay?"

"I talked to representatives of several clubs and joined two! It was only slightly terrifying and minorly exhausting!"

"Sounds like a pretty okay day, then. What clubs?"

"Quite the intellectual. I've heard great things about that school's science club."

"Better than my old school's."
