(Do you know who absolutely could be listening in on everything that Glorio Arkona says without being noticed at it? Because he'll tell you: it starts with an "L," and ends with a "ord Toff motherfucking Ornelos." Just saying.)

You know what.

Sure, why not?

Toff will nip away and investigate the Player Character Cave.

Invisibility. Dimension door.

It's been decades since Toff last went dungeon crawling, which takes a somewhat different set of skills than other kinds of adventuring or ordinary war wizardry. It'd be easy to make a careless mistake, when you've been out of the game for so long.

Toff is aware of this, and takes a moment at the mouth of the dungeon to collect himself and get back in the mindset. Then, he conjures a party of weak elementals (when he casts them, they last for two and a half minutes, at which point he'll replace them) and follows cautiously behind them.

What's your bonus on Perception checks?

With heroism and heightened awareness cast, and find traps from a staff, +31.

The dungeon crawl is more or less what Toff would expect from the Korvosan Vaults.

It looks like the natural tunnel breaks into a buried Thassilonian complex deeper in; there are a hundred Vaults which take this general format.

Does Toff see any traps?

No.

Does he see anything with arcane sight?

No.

Does Toff see any monsters?

As you go through the dungeon, you find dead monsters, mostly skeletons and vermin and most prominently an animated statue.

But everything that moves has already been killed or destroyed.

As Toff flies along, he'll search carefully for traps.

Technically you don't actually have to declare that, since find traps gives you a free Perception check regardless of whether you tell the GM that you're looking.

He knows but doesn't want to build bad habits.

Toff finds hidden pit traps in the hallways, and poison dart traps on doors, but they've already been disarmed.

Anything new on the arcane sight?

Nothing new on the arcane sight.

Feeling paranoid, Toff looks at his ring to check whether he's in a private sanctum or something else that disabled his arcane sight.

You're under a mind blank.

Oh, right. But he can see his summoned elementals, and they aren't mindblanked.

Toff refuses to be lulled into a false sense of security.

He continues searching for traps.

Beyond the broken animated statue, Toff finds a secret door.

Is the secret door trapped?
