"Huh, we'll have to check that out. Do you want to meet everyone, well everyone that's not on the shopping trip?"

"Sure, sounds great."

Milan leads them down the ramp and pokes his head into the various doors saying variations on "We have guests from one of the other parties." A few minutes later about fifteen people are gathered together on the landing. "Well, we're all together a bit earlier than planned, but how about we each share our updates."

There's some general nodding and by unspoken agreement a woman speaks first. "Hi, I'm Karen. I've been investigating the computers. It looks like they have a mall directory on them, and so I got kinda distracted looking through that. There's some stores I really wouldn't expect, like there's a pet store."

"That does sound weird. I didn't notice if there's one in our spiral."

"It's pretty far away. It's near the end of the mall."

"We'll have to take that until the shopping group gets back then they have all our best bikers. Oh, I'm Cindy"

There's a brief silence before a Chinese man speaks. "I've been watching the news. There hasn't been any new information on the neutron star but people are reacting really badly. People are panicked and in some places that's led to riots. I'm the Middle East it looks like tensions might be escalating towards war. Everyone wants to control the holy sites."

"That's not how it ought to be."

Dave shrugs, "Assholes. Assholes never change."

Jade says, "People are scared. People do dumb things when they are scared."

"Yeah. They do."

"Hi, I'm Lyra. We've been working on drawing up ideas for how to partition the bathroom. The precise details will have to vary depending on what the shopping trip finds but I think we have some good options drawn up."

"Oh? Do you mind sharing?"

"Not at all. Let me go grab what we've come up with." Lyra ducks into the craft room and comes back out with a sheaf of paper. "Here's the ideas we have." They vary from the very minimal, which just adds a divider around the back of the shower area and around the tubs to the complex, which separates out some of the sinks and stalls from the rest. There are various other options presented including the idea of splitting the shower area in half or into three.

"Yeah we were talking about splitting our shower area in half yesterday. I think we decided the sink and stalls don't really need dividers, at least not immediately."

"Yeah, the idea of dividing the stalls along gender lines isn't really genderqueer friendly either and there's a few queer people in our group."

"We've only got ten people in our group, seems like most of the other groups have more."

"That's weird. I guess these things happen though."

"Guess so."

Another man speaks up. "So, I've been cataloging the food that's growing in the greenhouse. And I got suspicious, absolutely every bit of food in the bins is fresh but when I compare that to what's planted the growth stages aren't all freshly harvested. So I stuck my phone in one of the bins and as it turns out time passes really slowly in the bins. At least a factor of sixty, maybe more."

"Well, that puts what I've been reading into perspective. Functional controllable time dilation."

"That explains why the pretzels were still warm."

"Huh, I was wondering about that myself, but I didn't think of a way to test it. That's really neat." says Jade.

"It also explains how there can be a pet store in a mall without staff."

"Also true."

"Do you have anything else to share?"

A few people shake their heads. "Doesn't look like it," says Milan.

"Alright, I think the main things we have to share are that you should read the list of symbols on the computer, especially the ones for dangerous stuff like one-way doors and lethal danger and that the computer will hire people for jobs that grant special abilities. I've also got a phone for you to keep so we can keep in touch."
