Oh, right, he's an alien. Amenta has four seasons, in the places people like to live. We're born in the spring or early to mid summer. When we turn four, sometimes not until we turn five especially if we're sickly or were born later in the year, spring comes and then most people suddenly really want babies. Some people like babies before that but I don't.

That doesn't happen to people here. And we can't have kids until we're fifty.

We live to be about forty.
