And they can do these kinds of skies and these kinds of landscapes -

Avalor has a great deal of fun designing a planet for Voa to expand into once it is itself again.

Oh good. The planet is made to Avalor's specifications complete with her homes.

Good. She moves into whichever home is seasonally appropriate for what the planet is doing right now. Maitimo can come with if he would like they're big houses.

He would like! ...if he can get a portal home from both houses because the baby is expected any day and he does not want to miss all the well-wishers who will arrive with presents after the baby is born and who his parents will be too tired to handle gracefully.

Avalor would also like portals because of her tutors.

Portals can be arranged.

The baby arrives. He is tiny. Maitimo is so graceful with the visitors.

Avalor inspects the baby, determines that he is a baby, and loses interest. Maybe babies will be awesome when she springs.

At the rate she is now growing that will be while this baby is still very a baby.

The baby is named Canafinwë Macalaurë. Maitimo holds him and tries to teach him faces in case the reason no one else can learn is because you have to start young.

The baby screams a lot. He's so so loud. He's louder than Maitimo when Maitimo screams which Maitimo practically never does but did once out of curiosity.

Have they considered getting him a nanny, babies like attention.

Elves don't do nannies. The baby does get lots of attention he just really likes to scream.

Weird.

Maitimo thinks he was a very good baby. He doesn't remember, though. He goes to history and politics lessons with Avalor.

Eventually Avalor asks Maitimo if she will be getting her Voa back soon or what.

"Whenever you're ready I think. We should put together proof that Voa ought to be independent and then take it to the Valar and then to the Emperor."

"How do you prove that?"

"Uh, I think ask Voans, probably."

"...that's proof?"

"I mean, the Valar aren't going to be good at evaluating who should govern Amentans so they will by default trust the Amentans to know who they want governing them. If Voans want to be independent that's a good enough reason for them to be."

"Then what if the Empire wants to keep it?"

"- no, see, if my subjects don't want to be mine it doesn't matter if want to have them. Same with the Empire."

"I know but if the Imperials won't go home and leave Voa alone what will the Valar do."

"What we tell them to so we had better be good at blue and tell them the right thing."

"Like turning them into trees if we tell them -?"

"Yeah. If we tell them to do that they will so we had better be sure we are telling them things we really want."
