Ana's sabers appear in her hands and ignite. She points them at Callida's chest, blocking her cereal bowl.

"See, that's not really the answer we're looking for."

"And what," wonders Lord Callida, softly, "will you do if you don't get the answer you're looking for?"

"I killed your Emperor less than thirty-six hours ago," whispers Ana. "You seem like a smart girl. Figure it out."

She takes this news with utmost grace. Perhaps she's already heard the news. Or perhaps not. It's impossible to tell.

"Ah, but killing the Emperor and killing an unarmed woman who's done nothing to you are two very different things." She looks between Revan and Ana, with something like curiosity. "And is it really smart to kill me if you're looking for a way off this planet?"

Revan doesn't really want to get in the way of Ana's - bad cop thing, and he trusts her to not actually hurt the Sith, but wow this Sith is acting strangely. What the hell?

"Maybe I won't kill you. Maybe I'll just break your things." She dips her shorter lightsaber and shears off the side of the cereal bowl.

Lord Callida sighs and drops the cereal bowl half. It had become pointless to hold.

"Break what things?" she wonders. "The ship you need to get off the planet? My various personal effects? My crew? Me? Be specific, now, if you're going to threaten me I need more than vague threats and an annoying mess to clean up, I'm a Sith, I was inured to torture before the age of sixteen! You cannot possibly expect to stand there threatening me with a lightsaber and expecting me to blink!"

"Oooookay, hold on, let's just - take this down a notch, okay?" Revan looks between Ana and the Sith, motioning for Ana to tone it down.

Ana pulls her sabers back.

"Thanks," says Revan. He looks at Callida. "Are you trying to see what we'll do?"

"I did just ask," she points out, "that specific question."

"That's not what I meant, I mean - you seem to be testing us to see how we'll act. Like if you prod us enough you'll see what we're like when we snap, and what exactly are you expecting to see there?"

Callida raises her eyebrows slightly.

"You tell me. What am I expecting to see, if you snap?"

Revan peers at her, like she's a walking puzzle that he hasn't figured out the answer to yet.

"You could be manipulating us, trying to - I dunno, talk us to your philosophy, make us all Sith-like and dark sided. Which is a good shtick, I'll give you that, better than 'and now I will attempt to murder you even though I'll fail at it,' but I'm not sure it's what you're actually doing. Ana, do you have any ideas?"

"I think she's buying time until someone gets here, and we should continue this conversation inside the ship. With the door locked behind us."

"If I were doing that," wonders Callida, "Why would I have opened the door? It would have bought me thirty seconds, at least."

"Fair," says Revan, to Ana, apparently ignoring Callida. "Yeah, inside."

He makes a shooing motion to the Sith lord.

Lord Callida sighs, turns, and takes several steps further into the ship.

And moves, quite casually, to a nearby door panel.

"I do hope you won't mind if I close the doors between you and my crew?" she wonders, just a hint of sarcastically.

"Mm, I find myself somewhat unwilling to let you touch anything, actually. How about we all just agree to stay right here for now."

Callida looks very tempted to say something, but doesn't. She crosses her arms and looks mildly annoyed, instead.

"Very well."

Ana elbows the exit panel to close the door and lock it. Fortunately, it's galactic-standard.

"We're were discussing the loan of your ship?"

Callida raises her eyebrows slightly. "Were we. Well, if we were, I only recall one word I offered as an answer, and I do believe it is exactly the same..."

Ana says to Revan, "We could just knock her out and see if the crew can help us. And if they can't even just having this ship is probably a pretty good start, we might be able to fake something."

"... I think if we knock her out we'll be in deep trouble," predicts Revan.

Callida smiles, just a little.
