Will she wake up if someone picks her up?

She will, flinching, and trying to get away, flames unintentionally bursting off her skin. (Although she manages to stop them fairly rapidly.)

She goes still (as much as she wants to keep trying to escape). "sorrysorrysorry," she babbles. (It never helped.)

"It's fine!" a girl says. "I was just trying not to wake you, I'm sorry."

She blinks at little, not having expected another new person, and at the apology (no-one bothers apologising to her). She looks around for Edie (although her gaze never really makes it past knee level). "I-s'fine?"

Edie is right here.

"This is my sister, Emily. Sorry, the car arrived and we didn't want to make you wake up to get in it."

She relaxes a little when she sees Edie, and a little more when she speaks.

When the car is mentioned, she bites her lip (she agreed to this, but she's still scared about what's going to happen next), and manages to get (somewhat unsteadily) to her feet. "S'fine," she repeats quietly, waiting for some further instruction.

Edie wraps an arm around her shoulder, half to comfort her and half to make it easier to walk.

The car is just outside, there is a man who looks like Edie sitting in the driver's seat and looking at all three of them with concern.

She leans a tiny bit against Edie (it does make walking easier).

She flinches when she see the man, and shrinks further into Edie's side, almost trying to hide.

"That's my dad, he won't hurt you. I wouldn't let him if he tried, which he won't," she says, hugging her a little tighter.

Blaze doesn't pull away, or really relax, but she seems at least a little reassured. (Anyone who raised someone as nice as Edie couldn't be that bad, she doesn't think.)

She'll let herself be guided towards and into the car, but doesn't seem entirely capable of moving without someone encouraging her to.

Edie is absolutely capable of guiding her.

Then she will be guided. She seems unfamiliar with cars (whenever she'd been taken out before, they'd always walked, and when she ran on foot had been her only option). She'll try to stay as close to Edie as she can, the other girl feeling the safest of these new people.

She can sit right next to Edie in the back seat.

That seems to help her relax a little, and she leans into Edie. If no-one tries to speak to her, she's probably going to drift off into sleep again. (It's been a while since she's had a chance to sleep without one eye open.)

No one talks to her.

Eventually they will get where they're going and the car doors will open again.

She flinches awake again, but is a little less panicky this time, more startled and a little disoriented.

She looks around herself, trying to get an idea of her surroundings (and also of what she's supposed to do next).

They are outside a rather large building in a mildly castle-ish style surrounded by a large lawn, and then trees.

Oh. Wow. That is...big. And a little intimidating. (And pretty.) And parts of it look far too flammable (she doesn't want to do anything that might make them think she's too much trouble).

She swallows thickly, before sliding out of the car. Unguided this time, but still not entirely steady. (Her hands have flames flickering off them, and she folds them together, half trying to stop it, half trying to hide it.)

"Oh, is that what you do? Fire? It's lovely."

She flinches again when he speaks to her, looks at her hands. (She'd always thought her flames were pretty before...)

"Yes sir," she agrees. Then, hurried: "I can control it better, I promise." (The way the flames on her hand leap as she speaks don't suggest her words hold as much truth as she would like.)

"Don't worry. You should have seen Alex when he was just starting out."

She isn't entirely sure how to respond to that, and settles for a slightly lost: "Yes sir."

"Da~ad, you're scaring her. Let me handle it."

"Alright. I'll see you later. Love you."

"Love you too, Dad."
