Both of those concepts enthrall Tadashi, and immediately about eighty additional questions spring to mind. First things first, though:

<Okay, just to show how weird it can get. Zephyrinus' shift-dance is essentially me. Or to be more accurate, it is to have a twin with a shared shift-dance that's beneficial to them both. In my case, I can share shape sacrificing.>

<But it gets even better. Someone with less than ethical impulses and a shift-dance to switch around dances found us when we were little and was curious. It turns out that if you try to switch around Zephyrinus' dance you confuse the system and you can get a third twin. My dance lets one of us restore one of the others to life.>

<That's...that's incredible! I wouldn't even...we don't have anything like that in my world.>

What he wouldn't give to have his computer, he could be writing down all this new information for later study.

<You know, you probably can acquire forms yourself, but it is extremely painful.>

<I...might actually be interested in trying that. For scientific research.>

<It also heals things and if you have two forms you can switch between them without getting older.>

<Aside from the pain, I'm not really seeing a downside.>

<Yeah, you can also use the pool to heal a current shape. Which, is no one's first choice, but tends to be very thorough. Add to how it takes days to finish the process... it adds up.>

<I bet you don’t regret any of that for a second.>

<How many shapes do you have?>

<Currently it's four. Most people have three.>

<I take it I'm unusual for having one?>

<Yeah, but we will solve that as soon as possible, don't worry.>

Tadashi even dares to rest his hand on Felicianus's arm. For no other reason than closeness, of course.
