Most people would find intimidating the idea of suddenly moving away and start a new life at a new High School. But Temperance took it as just an opportunity to enjoy new things, make new friends, and go new places. And it was so nice that she met Gabriel and Erin. They are very friendly, and allegedly "The Work Juice Café" is everyone's favorite meetup place for all kind activities, including this tutoring program that pair up students across the different high schools, which is a neat idea. Especially, Even if Temperance haven't done any official tutoring before. But Erin thinks her grades are good, and the tutoring program's organizer is rather friendly.

And The Work Juice Café is its quaint and hospitable little self, a two store brick and mortar building with stripped awnings and a large sign depicting its name, its mascot (The King of Coffee) and the line "home to the most caffeine dense coffee legally available in the U.S." There are tables on the outside, where two older women play chess while feeding crumbs to birds.

The inside is very cozy, a nice mixture of the traditional café experience but with paintings and decorations showing the tired working class drinking coffee and gaining the boost to go to work.

"I like this place already," she says observing the picture of the King of Coffee knighting someone.

"It's cute, isn't it?" Erin agrees, "They make the best muffins in town, and the coffee's to die for - and the wifi's free, too. It's the perfect place to get some studying in, so long as you don't mind the noise."

"Speaking of studying," Gabriel murmurs. He nods across the room, "There's the two we're tutoring. I'll leave you to make introductions-?"

"Oh, no you don't," she gets a grip on Gabriel's shoulder, "You can't escape so easily. You know Felix better than I do, anyway. Come on," she tugs him over to Felix's table, "This way, Temperance!"

Sure she follows them to their usual corner, briefly distracted by the displayed food.

In their usual corner, they find the triplets. Felix is testing frenetically.

"J.D. says he is in swim practice."

"Ask him when he got a waterproof phone or to get a better excuse."

"He just linked to a youtube video about fan fiction tropes. He just doesn't want to come. Anyway, I don't think we will find a substitute in short notice."

J pushes himself up from the back of a nearby booth, hands in the pockets of his apron, "Really, no one at all? I thought the program saw a bunch of expansion this year?"

"More people are asking for tutoring than signed up to give it," Gabriel explains as they reach the table. "And your situation's a little unusual, isn't it?" He looks to Felix, "Felix," he greets, "Fenris, Trevor. Francine couldn't make it?"

"Bad case of strep throat. Her sister, was very clear about she needing rest. Apparently, it was a stressful week for their family."

"What's unusual about your situation?" She asks J, before the names click. "Does the sister happens to be named Meghan?"

"I'm a chronic skipper," he explains cheerily. "And yeah, that's the one. You know them?"

"The standard school system is just not really a suitable learning environment for you." Trevor says in a mock serious tone.

"Thank you for not using the term 'kid jail'," Fenris says absently while typing on his laptop.

"Oh, well. I am their half-sister. We had a big family dinner with the other other half-siblings. It was stressful, yeah."

"It is, though," J laughs, distracted from the newcomer by Fenris' comment.

"Oh wow, that sounds so uncomfortable!" Erin frowns, "Strep throat is awful. Do you know how she's doing?" She directs this to both Temperance and the Brights.

"She was fine when we met, but looking back, she was definitely just coming down with it. But it was nice to meet her, she is nice."

"But if you use my phrasing, you're more likely to convince that you have a point. At least for the people that have orbited around the sun more times than we have. Anyway, that makes you half-siblings with Ezra, right?"

"True," J admits, before tuning back in to the other conversation, "Nice, yeah, that's one of the first words that come to mind with Francine. She's great."

(A sappy sigh can just barely be heard, coming from above.)

"Ezra's around here somewhere, isn't he? I'd almost forgotten that he and Aaron were related to Francine."

Gabriel looks up from a textbook he'd opened and started looking through at some point, "He's tutoring my cousin, they're probably upstairs."
