And, once signed - "We have the sword with us, actually."

"Ah, well, in that case -" He puts another note through his wall slot, and gets a response, and then he can lead them to a different location where an appraiser can check over the sword and someone can get a big ol' sack of gold withdrawn and weighed.

Followfollow.

The sword is inside the (actually very heavy!) bag of holding Zan has on her, bundled in several layers of cloth. Inspection will reveal that it is definitely a +1 Anarchic Unholy Speed longsword, complete with some admittedly-very-intricate depictions of angels being gruesomely murdered in the handle.

A dwarf examines it and pronounces it accurately described. They can go through all the appropriate rigamarole including handling it with enough indirection that it doesn't make anybody collapse for being the diametrically opposed alignment or anything.

Excellent. And then they can hand it off, and get their mix of cash and writ?

Yup here they go! Do they have any further business?

They are looking to buy one casting of Raise Dead and one casting of Resurrection, if they can get the rates here or a recommendation where they might find a cleric in the city willing to sell a seventh circle divine spell in particular. (They'll provide their own diamonds, they're expecting the Raise diamond tomorrow and don't yet have a firm timeline on the Resurrection one.)

They have their own diam- they have expected diamonds already. Irregular! But here are the rates for the spell alone, no refunds if your diamond doesn't cut it or the body's been cursed such that the spell is not adequate.

(Heh. Thanks, Jubilost.)

At that rate she is interested in buying one Raise Dead casting for tomorrow, which they can pay for out of their account with the church. She's not sure about the Resurrection timing-wise, and will have to get back to them on that.

They can put them down for the known slot and make it known that someone's going to want a Resurrection and relevant clerics might not want to go haring off on errands till that's sewn up.

Excellent. That's all the business they have today, thank you.

Zan wants to do some sightseeing around King's Crown and then check out King's Heart, but...

Yeah.

They'll take a quick dip into King's Heart to hit up bookstores for Umakhi (who as always wants to sell the last fifty books she bought and read and therefore memorized to make room for the sixty new ones she wants to get) and confirm that their Raise Dead diamond will indeed be ready tomorrow, and then Zan will get these two back to the inn and also wrapped up in her arms.

(Yay! new books!)

"Did we get a Magic Circle against Good from Vordakai?" asks Sivetrys, as they prepare the side room that will contain an angel. This mostly involves moving furniture around to make space for the circle - admittedly quite a feat for their strength challenged party - but is not overly complicated.

(Ekundayo is doing most of the moving of things. For the record.)

"Uhhhhhhh I don't think so, but he probably has it in his spellbook? If we want to brave that?"

"You've been flirting with sixth circle for over a month now, and you didn't get your magic circle scrolls set up in advance? Tsk! And here I thought you were a smart sorceress..."

"I have the one against Evil!" defends the sorceress. "Obviously! I just - had planned to not trap Good outsiders, so I didn't see why I'd need it."

"And we see where those assumptions have gotten you. Let this be a lesson in foresight for the future. - You need to move the chair a bit more to the left, a perfect circle is required for -"

"We know," sighs Linzi, throwing her halfling might against the modest armchair and... barely shifting it at all. "Look, this thing's just really heavy, okay, it would be easier if you helped -"

Ekundayo easily shifts the armchair into place. It's inside the circle, obviously, for Tristian's comfort.

"Thank you, Ekun," huffs Linzi, "But I meant Mr. Criticism over there. Are you just going to tell us how bad at seeing the future we are, because it's not news that prophecy's broken."
