Zeke made Rebecca a pair of bracelets and a necklace in shop class, and his next period is ‘ovid’, which they have together! The necklace is a 34 inch strand of amethyst beads, wrapped around itself to bring it to a more reasonably necklace-y size, held together by a makeshift paperclip clasp; the bracelets are similar, with strands coiled around themselves several times to bring them to a more reasonably bracelet-y size.

”I made you these thingies!” says Zeke, sitting down next to Rebecca and waving said thingies around.

"Oh WOW those are so pretty! Thank you so much!!!" she squeals, putting them on at once.

“You’re super welcome! And super pretty!” - is this a ‘hugging Rebecca’ moment, this seems like a hugging Rebecca moment. Hug!

Hug! "Did you make these in shop? I thought the first assignment was always a knife, I heard someone say that..."

“I kinda, like, forgot about the knife and did this instead? But the knife isn’t due for a couple weeks so it’s fine.”

"Oh... you can do it next week and won't be late or anything?"

“Yeah! I know the spell that helps with it, and stuff, so it won’t take a really long time or whatever.”

"Okay. They're super pretty and I love that you were thinking of me, just don't let your homework eat you up." She takes his hand in hers and nibbles a little on one of his knuckles. "Rar."

“You’re not my homework! You’re way cuter than my homework! I’ve, like, broken my suspensiwhatever of disbelief, that’s how much cuter than my homework you are.”

"But you're so cute I could eat you up, homework or not!"

“No YOU’RE so cute!”

- Zeke feels like he’s about to explode from happiness and hugging Rebecca suddenly feels inadequate, has she considered that they could KISS.

They COULD. They could kiss right in the middle of their Ovid classroom. There is no teacher to stop them!

Kiiiiiss from a rose on the graaaaay, in Oviiiiid claaaass, except it’s from a Rebecaaaaa - that song has been stuck in his head since he arrived, why is it so catchy. It’s probably so catchy because it’s about KISSING and kissing is apparently VERY GOOD.

Eventually she pulls back, giggling. "Proooobably we should study Ovid," she says. "I don't want to be eaten by an angry Ovid."

“Om nom nom,” he says, in imitation of the dead Roman poet, and then they can do that.
