Some facts:

One: Having a sex drive, observably, makes you an idiot.

Two: Ayako got hit by puberty like a truck three and a half years before induction, and while she's dealt with it as gracefully as possible up to this point, she would prefer to be... less of an idiot about it than Jiang Cheng and Jin Zixun are, observably, being. Without having to wait another four years before she can do anything about it.

Three: She isn't supposed to sleep with anyone except for her same-sex clavemates, but 'clavemates' is multiple orders of magnitude more negotiable than 'same-sex,' and she thinks that for this she wants someone who she doesn't know very well and doesn't have much preexisting entanglement with. So she asks around— discreetly, obviously— and makes arrangements with a senior from Tokyo who thinks she's pretty, which is close enough to not be a terrible idea but not so close that they won't be able to avoid seeing each other constantly. And very, very unlikely to try to do sex work at her, which is good because it means Ayako only has to learn how to do two new things at once.

Four: Miyu is— good at this. Really good at this. No, seriously, really good at this, in the way that you can only be if you've spent the last two and something years doing it quite a lot, and she thinks it's cute that Ayako is so eager to learn, and she likes being bitten which is good because it turns out that Ayako bites when she can't think what else to do and that happens kind of often. It's good and she has a good time and she learns a lot.

Five: And yeah, okay, it feels kind of weird afterwards for Miyu to just get up and get dressed and leave when they're done, but Ayako did kind of sign up for that interaction, so. Miyu thinks Ayako is pretty and sweet and offers to do it again and Ayako's not totally sure how she feels about that, it left a weird aftertaste (metaphorically, the literal aftertaste was basically fine and anyway it didn't last after she drank water), but she had fun, so they hook up a second time, and a third.

Six: After the third time, Ayako curls up next to Miyu, with her head very conveniently placed for having her hair pet and her arm over Miyu's waist— because this isn't adversarial, right, that's the point of sleeping with someone who's not going to do sex work about it, that you're doing something collaborative rather than competitive and you get to just ask for things if you want them including affection— and Miyu says, "You're cute, but no," and she gets up and gets dressed again and leaves Ayako's room just like she did the first two times.

Seven: Ayako's not really sure she wants to do this a fourth time. So she doesn't, and Miyu shrugs and doesn't press.

Eight: Ayako isn't certain whether she'd wanted her to or not. Like, it doesn't matter, because Miyu's not going to, and objectively it's... better that she's not going to? Being pressured into sex is bad and Ayako doesn't want it to happen to her? But also she's not sure how she feels about how little Miyu cared about whether or not it ever happened again and on the whole it's just a weird place to be in.

Nine: And holy hell, how embarrassing is it to be sad because the senior who thinks you're pretty and taught you how to eat a girl out didn't want to cuddle afterwards and didn't pressure you into more than you wanted, but also Ayako would kind of like a hug, and if she asks for a hug she'll have to explain why she wants one.

So, in conclusion: things are fine, she's totally fine, she is zero percent emotionally weird whatsoever, she hooked up with a pretty girl and learned a lot and had a great time and then after two more hookups decided she wanted something different and it's cool because there weren't any strings attached in the first place.

And if that isn't true— well, she'll just pretend until it is.
