"Are you, though?"  Tap the back of her neck.  "Yep, that's an esper alright.  I'd recognize one anywhere."

Her shoulders go up in surprise when he taps her, but she giggles, "Mhm! I think there are visas and processes specifically for espers, yes?"

"There definitely are.  I don't know what they are, but Bill will, and if he doesn't, he'll find someone who does."  Bill isn't her agent.  "Or.  Er.  Your agent, I mean.  Bill's great, but I can't ask you to trust my agent on this."

"I think I will need to change agents? Or else ask Evelyn to move with me. Maybe she will."

She considers this as she chews on a bite of omelette.

"If not, I will ask around the Turtle Island Network."

"The...who?  I don't think I've heard of them.  I shouldn't be surprised, not living in Canada."

Headshake, "They operate in both America and Canada, but you may not of heard of them because you're not, em, indigenous."

"No'm, first-generation American here.  Fresh off the boat, as the locals say."

"It's a support network for native Americans and Canadians. They have branches throughout our countries. They should be able to recommend me someone nearby, if not in Montpelier itself."

"When I was a little kid, just coming over, I thought that Native Americans were just everyone who wasn't like me.  Silly, I know.  I got through a year of school before I figured it out."

"No, I can see where the confusion would come from," she shakes her head. Also, she eats some more omelette.

"It's very useful, the network. I have heard of other review and contact systems and such, I think more new espers could do with access to them."

"Is there any reason a new esper couldn't use one of those contact systems?  I knew more or less what I wanted going in, but not everybody is as - " neurotic "detail-oriented as I am."

"Not knowing they exist, maybe? I don't even know what ones there are here, besides my own."

"Hm.  Well, time will cure that if you wait long enough.  Lemme grab our supplies, okay?  I'll be back in a jiffy."  Hustle to the front door, grab the stuff he ordered last night - that's everything, good.

Sara finishes her omelette and then calls over to him, "I'm going to go get ready, then!" She needs to change and so on, she'd kind of just rolled out of bed and gone directly to the kitchen after waking up.

"Sounds good, I'll see you in a few!"  Let's see...sandwich stuff.  Ugh.  I refuse to let sandwiches make me sad for the rest of my life.  It's stupid.  Fishing kit is in the car already, the toolbag and medical bag is already in the car.  Honestly, I don't know why I bother carrying it.  Habit, really.  Got the emergency food, the toolkit.  Shouldn't need a sleeping bag, but I've got two in case something happens.  Probably stupid to bring it, what'm I gonna do, twist my ankle and get trapped?  Hm.  Got the stuff she wanted as well.  I think that's everything.  Tim'll wait for Sara before he packs everything away, in case there's something she needs.  And he'll dump everything dirty in the sink.

Sara takes a quick shower and brushes her teeth. She changes into jeans, thick socks, and a new, long-sleeved turtleneck. Her long coat goes back in the duffel, and she pulls out a shorter jacket that won't be ruined by trekking through the woods. Her hair goes into a long braid, and then she picks up boots, hat, gloves, backpack, and a scarf that is not impractically long, and leaves to rejoin Tim.

"Okay! Oh, is this our supplies?" She stops in front of it all to look it over.

"Yes'm, I think this was everything you wanted.  Give it a check-through and make sure I didn't forget anything you needed for your internationally-known bannock."

"Hah."

She checks the bag, checking off a mental list, and nods, "We should bring salt and pepper and maybe some other spices," she notes. "But it looks like everything else is there. Except maybe drinks?"

"Oh, I have a pack of Esperade in the truck.  Er.  It's mostly the yellow kind, that's my favorite lately.  Anything else you'd rather have?  I do have a canteen."

"And we have the cooler, we can keep something in there. Maybe the juice? Just so we have options." She will go to the fridge to get that, and also the jam, for additional bannock topping options.

"Sounds good."  Tim will pack all of the things!  Then shoulder the backpack and pop in the truck.  Backpack goes on the backseat, Tim goes in the driver's seat.  Sara goes wherever Sara pleases.

Sara will go in the passenger seat, and her backpack will join his in the back!

"Can we autodrive all the way there?" She peers at the dash, "Or will we need to switch to manual at some point?"

She hasn't been in a proper manual vehicle since the reserve, but they've needed to go manual a few times on the job.

"Auto most of the way, I think.  The last five miles are usually where I have to go manual, there's potholes and trees and the like and autodrive doesn't always like those."  The truck is sufficiently auto to get them started, though!

"Mm, my cousin almost wrecked a new truck trying to autodrive through the woods once."

She stretches her arms, and then pulls her legs up to sit cross-legged.

"Music?"

Tim thinks about it for a second, and then puts on some club-appropriate Spanish music.  Easy to tap along to or to dance to, even if you don't speak the language.  "I like this for keeping me awake, it makes me want to move.  High-energy stuff, you know?"  The music is quite a bit quieter than typical club music, out of respect for fragile esper ears.
